I once watched a RUclips documentary abt a lioness who decided she wasn't gonna let her pups get killed by the new lions who defeated the current lion, she took the pups (some pups from other lionesses followed along) and they wandered for weeks until they were old enough to fend for themselves, while the new lions were lowkey searching for them so they could kill the pups. When she finished raising them she returned to the lions. Sweetie did get fatally injured and couldn't hunt for the kids for a while and then guess what!! Her SISTER found her and helped her raise the kids until she she was ok again. The whole thing was fascinating, they said this was highly unusual for a lioness to do, especially considering she had to hunt alone for like a handful of growing pups.
cats are so interesting and cute. i have some house cats and my family tends to feed stray cats so they keep coming to our house, but while these tiny creatures are so adorable dont get surprised that they can be feisty and wild because they are predators by nature 😭🙏. one of the stray cats we fed has even presented a dead snake in front of our house door once.
Cats may have so many superpowers because the littler species are both predator and prey. Unlike dogs, which are descended from an apex predator, the house cat's ancestors are not much bigger than them, which means they could also be preyed upon. That's why house cats really like vertical spaces and hiding spots, because it's a signal of safety to them 😊 They're also not omnivorous like a lot of other predator species, so they have to catch prey to survive. (I'm writing this as my own Void squawks at me for not petting him.) Always enjoy when you kick back and enjoy some random nature facts :) Love the bonnet, too!
