Irish Fiddle - Foxhunters Slip Jig

- This is a seriously fun tune to play, and is a well known slip jig that most other session musicians will join in with. So it's a sociable melody as well, despite the rather questionable subject.
However, it forms part of a collection of tunes, that describe the foxhunters activities as they go about their deadly pastime.
There are a fair few fox hunts in the area where I live and supposedly no foxes are killed in the UK anymore, supposedly.

Thanks so so much. I am amazed how prolific you are. I've got 2 new ones today. Brill!
Glad you like them!
Thanks for breaking down a new favorite for me. I really appreciate the ethical commentary too. Hard title for a vegan, LOL.
Love the orange Telecaster - I used to have one!
Maestro! But the best thing ever is your smile of satisfaction for the work well done once is all over....Me and my family love you.
Wow thank you, just what we needed

Yay I’ve been looking for a slip jig that works with my dance I love it ❤️
Thanks for putting this one up - never heard it before. Sounds like a fun tune to learn!
Thanks for listening
Very nice. A bit too advanced for me but very enjoyable. Thank you!
Nicely played!
Lovely tune and great playing. I first heard this tune as part of a medley on the Fairport Convention album Liege & Lief. It was my favorite tune in the medley. Years ago, I looked up the tune on RUclips, and saw where you uploaded a version with some folk rock instrumentation and I really enjoyed that. It’s also nice to hear a solo fiddle version as well. Thanks for uploading!
Thanks for listening
