Most comfortable type of holster and carry. Amazing if you're a driver. Even better when going out with friends for a walk or going out in general. Not a go to war rig or nothing like that but if you want something extremely comfortable nothing will ever beat this.
I have nerve pain in my legs and used to carry belly band, I now carry in a shoulder holster as it is much more comfortable and provides better ease of movement when carrying a full size gun. Draw time is a little slower but practice helps a lot. Worth looking into if you haven't tried it yet.
@@ChuckSneed88 yeah I have GBS. I have zero normal feeling from my head to my toes just nerve pain. It sucks!! My wife laughs that 26 yrs in the Army didn't break me as bad as an infection smh. I know some guys at a large training company. Once I get up enough reps and time back behind a gun I am going to their place to get them to run me through the wringer trying a few. Currently I have a cross body bag setup.
It's amazing how we learn and adapt to whatever needs we are required to have. And we've all seen in the past few years that needs and environment change, and many things ended up changing. I conceal carry everyday; medical, tools, pistol. And when I first seen this some years ago, I thought to myself, this clutch is stupid, why not wear a warbelt, or just conceal carry. And I've recently made trips to places (California changed my thinking) where I can't carry but placed in a bag while driving, I'd have to placed each item one by one and it took time to do so and adjust. To have all this in one easy piece of gear, all the important tools placed on you in a snap pays dividends in a situation that is time sensitive. I will picking one up. Thx!
I own this and usually wear it as a bellyband on my hips for appendix carry. Works great, and really versatile. I actually prefer it over a war belt, less snag potential, and less jiggling around when you move. Very compact when stored. You can sprint in this thing no problem. Everyone should own one. First Spear Das Ding is similar. Vertx also makes a miniature version of this called the Runners Clutch Belt with less bulk and less pockets. You can get it for $58 on optics planet
My go-to for the last year has been a Light-bearing Enigma with the Sport Belt addon. The Sport Belt is more comfortable and adds a comfortable amount of stretch. It also has several elastic cells for extra gear or mags. The straps for either of the Enigma belts are 1.5" so if you're so inclined you can further expand on storage options by adding other belt mounted pouches. Since the entire setup is self-contained, it can be adjusted independently from and isn't dependent on your belt and pants. So it can be worn outside the waistband if you need to throw it on in a pinch.
If youre interested in this the Phlster Enigma might be your cup of choice. Its what i use for CC. I run a staccato P, with an aimpoint acro and surefirex300 along with a mag carrier. im a 5'7 male 175lbs
I was also going to recommend the Light Bearing Enigma too. I use mine with the sport belt. The sport belt lets you use it as a more focused mini Clutch. I also find it more comfortable.
It doesn't, but it is easier to put on. The lack of velcro on the ready rig makes it impossible to use it for EDC purposes like carrying a pistol. The ready rig is a nice low profile option for carrying rifle mags, but the clutch serves a different purpose. The ability to flex into other roles is just being mentioned here because Ivan is doing his job right and giving us all the details.
These things look good for concealed carry. I actually got a hernia from my appendix carry pushing into my abdomen. Had to switch to OWB and open carry for work purposes but I’d consider that for deep carry or driving.
When I'm driving I just take my holster off entirely, put it back on when I stop. If you get in a car crash, you dont want a gun on your body, you'll get really injured.
@@PullingRugs Ouch. Been there. I'm an outdoor instructor and I've spent most of my career working on the granola side of the industry. I haven't really found any good solutions to concealed carrying with a pack. One of the better options is the Hill People Gear Kitbags. Since it's self-contained, it can be adjusted independently from your pants and belt. And like the Clutch it can be thrown on in a hurry for bumps in the night. The Sport Belt has elastic cells for storage. You can set it up with a spare mag, blade, maybe a light and some (flat) basic medical.

The enigma has a different purpose. This is a compact, low profile warbelt that can also be used as a belly band on steroids. Its easier to set up, and is more versatile than the Enigma. The Enigma is just a very high tech bellyband.
I was wearing a back brace for a bit and I definitely considered a setup like this. Seems versitile, being able to take it on and off under a jacket without being a waist belt is nice. Also, you could call the velcro hook and loop rather than male and female if you wanted..
I looked up what this Sam guy is talking about, and it's crap. It's your typical belly band, it does not do what the Unity clutch does. There are other options similar to the Clutch, as Ivan mentioned. Belly bands aren't something I recommend, and the belly band that guy mentioned looks to be a soft holster that uses some sort of loop to help secure your gun, meaning the passive retention is probably lacking as it's designed to fit a multitude of guns. If you like the Unity, get that. If you want to save money, get the Vertx they make good shit too.
How is this different from the Vertx UNITY Tactical Clutch Belt? Looks identical but 1/3rd the price. Unity Clutch Belt: CLUTCH Belt $165.00 - $199.00 Vertx UNITY Tactical Clutch Belt $57.80
Bravo Belt makes a better version for $30. Fuck unity and they’re ridiculous prices for stupid products. Their switches are cool. But their mounts and their flip to center are dumb.
@@wx2999 Even if you mean the vertx one which is NOT shown on the video it costs more on average. After briefly looking it up I could find only one site with that price.
