They sure are! Last year I tried garlic and oranges and the citrus seemed to work a little bit, I ended up having to put duct tape (sticky side out) around the stalks of the plants so the bugs wouldn't climb and eat the new growth but when it's seedlings there's no way I know of that works for me. I blame the mulch. It's the perfect breeding ground for pill bugs
