    Thanks for the video, wouldn't have been able to do this repair without it. Love your cat too.

    I would note it’s helpful to take a cotton swab with alcohol and clean the rubber debris from the pulleys.

      Ah yeah that is a good idea. I've been having this one run in my workshop for a while and I might take it apart and see how cleaning that does

    Hello, thank you for the video. I managed to replace the O-ring and the cleaner is working.
    2 rubber rektangulär rubbers size:10x7x5 mm fell out when disassembled, Cannot find any place for them!?
    Anyway, the machine seem to be working without them.
    Do you or somebody else have any idea where to put them?

    • @LOSADM02
      @LOSADM02 11 месяцев назад

      Same here, but I had only 1 rubber left. And 2 screws😂. It works, though. I guess they are a cushion for the bumper. Did you find out where they go?

      No I did not in spite of asking the Neato Customer care. Answer: "To be honest, we at customer care have never open the robot so far so we cannot tell you." OK, remains to contact a servicenter..."🙄😡

    Hello , i changed it for the second time , the first time it worked but this time the brush is not working ? Any ideas ? It could be the motor ?

    Thank you for the video. I noticed that my D7 would fire up normally, but when the motor for the side brush kicked in, there was a horrible grinding noise. Followed your video to be able to access the motor, thinking that it may be covered in dust and hair. It wasn't that bad, but replaced the O ring as it looked a bit slack. Also cleaned out the gears (black box) attached to the wheel motor. However, it is still making that horrible grinding noise. Do you think the side brush motor might need changing?

      @TheOhayoDev  2 года назад +2

      I would recommend checking to verify the sound is coming from the side bush first and not the main brush or something else. You should be able to lift it up, hold the wheels down and cover the sensors to activate the bot and see if you can verify where the sound is coming from

    Great video but guess what I did broke the dang ribbon cable connector. Any tips on a replacement? The ribbon is fine just the plastic connector.

    • @TheOhayoDev
      @TheOhayoDev  2 года назад +1

      Oh man sorry to hear that. Ribbon cables are always my worst fear when taking apart electronics. My guess is that they likely use a standard ribbon cable so there should be information printed on the cable that could lead you to a replacement. If you find a part number or something you could try Amazon. Or you might be able to get spares from their website or eBay

    Do you have any photos of the placement/positioning of the side brush sensor? It popped up when I wasn't looking and I didn't pay close enough attention to it beforehand to know exactly where it's installed. It looks like at 4:13 you lifted this out and looked at it, but I don't see where/when it was replaced and unfortunately it looks like your hand covered where it came from in the shot. Thanks!

      Let me know if you still need it I could look thorough the extra footage or take it apart again

    I fixed the o ring on my d5 the same way (it was definitely broken), but the sidebrush is still not spinning, what to do now?

    • @TheOhayoDev
      @TheOhayoDev  3 года назад

      Start the vacuum and lift the front slightly placing your hand near the side brush. Do you feel any movement from the brush?

    • @TheOhayoDev
      @TheOhayoDev  3 года назад

      If there is some movement there might be something impeding the movement when it was put back together.
      I know some people have had to replace the motor. If all else fails you can buy a motor from Amazon and return it if it still doesn't work.

    I had a screw missing but I swear I did the two on the motor and the one on the board so I’m confused lol

      Lol, same happened to me. Then I realized there are three screws holding the motor in place.

    Now I know that these small rectangular rubbers are actually not for chockabsorbing!
    They are protecting the wires as you can see in this link: ruclips.net/video/OqgD7zuyLuA/видео.html" at 9minutes in to the movie!
