Hi Judi it is always lovely to see you on your you tube channel. Sorry to hear you have a cold get well soon. Love all things you are planning to make it is such a joy to see you enjoying what you do. See you again sweet Judi XXXX
Hope you feel better very soon. I’m not so far away from Harrogate so might come along at some point. Your granny squares are gorgeous 💕 I did try crocheting but I was rubbish ! Can’t wait to see your Nicks dress xxx
Thank you for finding time to vlog when you're not feeling well. I hope you're 100% again soon. The fabric for your quilt looks really pretty - looking forward to seeing it in time. xx
Get well soon 😊. Funny when you were filming at the second shop I thought that looks like Barry's in Birmingham- along way from the North! Made sense when you explained that Leon's are part of the same group.
Hello Judy! I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I was a school bus driver for a few years so I know kids spread germs like glitter. Take care of yourself. I enjoy your videos but you come first. I don’t crochet but I knit and it’s knitting season now 😊. I did try crochet but it hasn’t clicked for me yet 😅. Mitered squares are my meditative knitting. I put on an audiobook and knit for hours! It the same with embroidery or coloring. I love the fabric for your Nicks dress. Can’t wait to see it. Rest and take care of yourself. Thank you for sharing! Your friend Diane ❤
I know how frustrating it is when things do not join up properly. I once made loads of blocks which had to be made and then cut to make other blocks. I made them all (king sized quilt), laid it out so the colours flowed down the quilt and only then found that I had made an error in step 2. I did put it together, put the wadding and backing on and let my daughter and her friends use it as an enormous play mat. I only tacked it together and practised machine quilting on the occasional square because I tend to hand quilt. I made my daughter a big quilt during lockdown and a charity baby one since. I have still been buying fat quarters. I am aiming to make a quilted jacket, but not decided what piecing pattern yet.
Lovely to hear what you have been doing Judi. You are doing better than me with the granny squares. I have only perfected one pattern 😂 Lovely fabric purchases. Hope you feel better soon ❤
Can’t wait to see your Nick’s dress. No doubt you’ll get the stripey wool and angora made into an Amara vest before me 🤔😆. Leon’s was definitely my favourite - there were a couple of fabrics on your walk round I missed, and wouldn’t have minded. We’ll have to go back 😆
Hope you feel better soon.Your quilt pattern looks gorgeous, I’m also a quilter, haven’t done much lately as I’ve just got back into dressmaking again. I’m also going to the knitting and stitching show on the Thursday
We had a similar project in Skegness years ago, think it was full of paper ends, all sorts of craft stuff. Used to get no end for my Brownie group for free. I miss my sewing club, we sold our house in March, packed everything up. Still in Newark 6 months later, Land Registry problems
When you are hand piecing a quilt, where do you stop your line of stitching? Like do you sew edge to edge, or do you sew seam allowance to seam allowance?
I think your Nicks dress will be lovely....perfect for this time of year! I think if you were *really* friends with Mr. Morris, you'd refer to him as "Billy". Hahaha!
Oh we have to learn about Mr Morris for our room guides in Castle Howard. The ninth countess was part of the Morris community and the house was redecorated by him during his life time ..... its so interesting to have these connections. x
Thanks so much!!! I just retired from 30 years of teaching and so don't really need any new clothes, so I too am leaning towards quilting. Is the hand piecing you mentioned by any chance EPP?
Feel better soon Judi and thanks for sharing all those lovely granny squares and your travels to the fabric stores.
Thank you Carol, as the week has progressed I've felt much better every day. x

Great question…. I’ll explain in my next Sunday sews xx

Hi Judy, why not put the large swoon on the back of your quilt? Thanks Angela
What a fantastic idea!
Lovely chatty video! I watched with a cup of tea. Could you please type the name of the sewing pattern you are wearing? Cheers!

Have you seen the Sew Liberated Nest sweatshirt that uses a quilt square?
Im adding it to my list of things to check - I seriously do have a note book where I write down suggestions made on my vlog ❤️
