Really do think Fornals is going right under the radar again... all but nailed with 32 starts, 6 goals, 3 assists in the league last season... not a mega hauler like Bowen but a great 5.5 value pick, agree Raptor?
Remember watching a few union berlin games and Awoniyi really stood out. Big guy too so wont struggle against big CBs. And for what its worth he was decent for me on FM21
These are my favourite type of videos as they make me rethink my draft. Hadn't considered Forest players which seems to be a mistake as look like good bench options. Last season even when weren't injured strikers didn't do much. Would be really easy to disregard them and spend more on def/mid. Am tempted by Wilson and going to see if can fit Sterling in.
Never caught one of your videos before, but as a differential-lover, this was great thanks! I lived in east berlin for a few months and am always keen to support the Eisern, so I might take a good look at Awoniyi...
Great content mate! I’m a palace fan myself and I think Olise is a clinical player and dangerous in the oppositions half. To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes an exceptional amount of contributions for Palace this year. But anyways, another great video and loved the analysis. Keep it up 💪
Love the video and great insights especially with city. Was curious about your thoughts on Ramsdale given they will hopefully start with “fit” first choice fullbacks and Partey in midfield as I thought until those injuries Ramsdale was incredible. I may be wrong and was curious if you think there is an opportunity here? Also I just realised Hector Bellerin is back and was curious if that also offers a rotation risk for Tomyasu
Thanks Mike! I think that Ramsdale could be decent this season, but he was actually very poor last season. He had one of the worse xG prevented numbers in the league. Regarding Bellerin, it is definitely one to monitor pre-season
Think Forest under Steve Cooper could be a surprise package this season. Brennan Johnson is a great player in the making but I'm a bit put off like you rightly said about his negative out of player positioning. Great content as usual; keep up the good work Ross. 👍
Great analysis on Grealish and Mahrez as options, can't see anyone talking about Bernardo Silva? Surely presents good value too, presses very week, and highly trusted by Pep?
As a fairly successful American fantasy sports person, with over 20 years experience…remember how points dispersion work. And remember how to create margin against competition…it’s not using the same players as the competition. So these videos should have the ulterior motive to encourage watchers to pick players and teams to fit the ‘mean’ so that they can find points dispersed outside the bell curve.
What do you think of going big up top? Seems like the expensive strikers may be the only ones that actually score really well (at least initially) whereas there is definitely some serious potential with some of the cheaper defenders and mids...
I’d say Foden is most nailed of Man City attackers bar Haaland. Pep seems to like Foden the most and there is also the high pressing point you mentioned and the fact that he probably adds a lot of pace to the attack too. I’d say Grealish and Mahrez rotate.
My team right now and i probably stick to it unless theres injuries. Ederson, TAA, Chilwell, Reece James, Luis Diaz, Raphinha, Rashford, Neto, Jesus, Kane, Haaland. Sub: Forster, Anderson, Vestegaard, S. Longstaff. Thoughts????
This is Viera’s second season and he is slowly building his own team at Palace. I expect a great season from Palace this season, maybe a top ten finish. So their players could be great FPL assets. At certain points of the season I will be transferring in their 4.5 defenders and maybe their attackers aswell.
Good content. However, I believe any player 10m and upwards are premium options. Yes, that includes Bruno and Sterling. People seem to forget that before Ronaldo went to United, Bruno was neck and neck with Salah in previous seasons. With a more attacking manager, what's to say that the old Bruno won't be back? Also, despite Sterling not having a stellar FPL season, and not playing often, he still managed over 160 points. I expect him to easily bridge 200 points at Chelsea.
I really think forwards from middle teams will be great differentials this season. Firstly most of them are on pens and in addition they will not be changed as often as mids from top teams. I will start with Jesus and Wilson and plan to rotate with Bamford and DCL. Cheers
I’m glad you brought up Sterling. I really think he is going under the radar and being able to get him, Salah, and Haaland/Kane in one draft while still having solid defensive options is really good.
Buendia is a proper baller man. Once he’s confirmed as a regular starter he could be the best 6 mil midfielder. Not in my gw1 team but one to keep an eye on
PLEASE please help! Would love some advice, new to FPL, have 1 transfer &. 0 money in the bank. I have Diaz in my team, do I sell him for Rodrigo before the price rise, and use the extra cash to upgrade Dias to Cancelo with a hit? or is selling Diaz now a really bad idea with upcoming fixture.? but if I wait until after GW 4 he'd probably cost 0.2 m more. don't really want to wait around for that. Team is : Zinchenko, Dias, Trent, Perisic Diaz, Martinelli, Kulu, Salah Haaland, Jesus. Pretty template tbf, but is Cancello really worth the extra mil. Dias looks likes his XA XG is pretty good, and Cancelos doesn't look 1 mil better. What to do ahh! any advice welcome
I mostly avoided Pep roulette last season with the exception of City defenders. This season I'm considering breaking my cardinal rule of going for Mahrez. Sterling and Jesus leaving should help with the rotation risk and hopefully Grealish will take minutes away from Foden more than Mahrez.
Ross, thoughts on Sinisterra? I think he could be a right steal as a replacement for Raphinha. Excellent numbers from last season albeit in the Eredivisie.
@@123kaired I could see that yeh. There’s been a lot of talk of Pep tinkering with the system for this season, especially if they sign Cucurella. Possible Cancelo takes a step back fpl wise due to either rotation or playing a right sided inverted role. Cheap City assets might end up the way to go
Do you think Harry Wilson adds more value than Adreas Pereira? I feel former is a litte over priced, but can’t blindside his goal involvements during last season. 🤔
Thanks again for an informative vid 🥳 There are many good options there and Leeds’ fixtures are so good, but I kinda need Bamford to get going before he is tempting to put in the team. Rumours says he wanted a transfer this season 😊 Maybe he could be a sweet 7 mill alternative ✅
Im a Newcastle fan but the main problem with Wilson is because he can’t stay fit. If Wilson was able to have an injury free season he would be much better. The fact Wilson is pretty much guaranteed an injury will put managers (me included) off signing him
I think five at the back is essential but not.necessarily big at the back. 5-4-1 with 5 playing 4.5s gives you son, salah, Haaland AND KDB, along with grealish Defenders at all price points are value for money, so playing 5 makes sense, but they don't necessarily need to be the big boys - the 4.5s are underpriced value as well.
