EXACTLY! My two tractors WITH Factory installed "sway bars" ( telescopic)& Telescopic lower link-ends WORK FLAWLESSLY. The 3-point "quicky-hitcheys' are "PROBLEM Inducerers". Had One ,once-upon-a-time & within 18 miniutes it FAILED MISERABLY. Yes -; Factory is BEST---Going "Direct-Drive".
Great video Brock!! Glad ya'lls son is OK can always repair or replace a vehicle. Congratulations on the flail mower can't wait to see what it does on the deere the other one did a killer job on the tym. Well I have a Mahindra 1626 2021 it has the slider style I'm not pleased with it at all the ones on my 2017 1526 literally broke after they bent and now the 1626 ones bent in a year with 242 hours I'm not sure if it's my fault or not but it's aggravatin either way. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy
I could be wrong but I swear someone out there in RUclips land swapped the rear linkage from the 3 series over to their 2 series without any issues other than the cost. Glad your son wasn’t hurt Brock.
Hey Mr. Brock, you little "Supped-up" Tractor is "Out-growing " your demands. John-Deere should send you a "Back-up" for FREE, before you break yours in HALF!. You have Very Finely demonstrated over the YEARS what a "little lighweight Tractor " can DO. l think it's really time to put this "Rig" on Pure-light-duty. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe endeavor 's.
That sounds about right. I really appreciate you following along. This has been a fantastic machine honestly. Done a lot of things it probably isn’t rated for Unfortunately Deere will never sponsor me. I have spoken to some other brands a little bit. I would like to get a bigger machine so I can do other things. One example is I’d like to bail the hay off my property. Maybe an old square Bailer
I'm a kubota owner and same experience with OEM 'telescoping stabilizer bars.' They have a decent amount of slop in them. With the standard chain twist stabilizers, you have more control. Same reason I don't like quick hitches.. they add slop. Not sure what the rage is about for the telescoping stabilizers because for most implements, you don't even need to adjust it more than once (adjust it once for cat 1 spec). Also the popular offset flail mowers don't work with quick hitches. Boxblade with no quick hitch and tightened normal chain stabilizers has MUCH less slop than quick hitch + telescoping bars.
When we were teenagers we worked and bought our own vehicles, insurance and maintained them ourselves...times have changed. My daughters were saying all the other parents...lol
Thanks for sharing the long term issue/flaw with the stabilizers that slide. I really dislike my turnbuckles on my Deere. I bend them all the time due to that back and forth movement you describe. Even after tightening them down. They just don’t hold up to the ballast box on the back moving around.
Brock go back to your original video where you installed the telescoping stabilizers. I think you reversed the sides. You read label saying “right side facing rear or tractor “. You then installed it on the LEFT side. Could that be the issue? I hope so because mine finally arrived and I want to install them tomorrow
I ordered one from him , he said it would be like a year so I waited and I never saw the email from him , seeing this makes me happy that I never got/ saw the email . 🤪
Hey Brock. I've never done this before. I like your videos when I can see. I'm only 59 and have 4 eye surgery. Last one definitely not good. I've lost hope in doctors. I m single and could use some emotional help. I thought I could reach out.
My suggestion is that you should get in contact with the person who made it, and ask them about your issue. Maybe they will help you with your problem. Most companies appreciate your input, and then they could fix the issue. Also if you are really nice about it then you might get a improved version from them.
I can see where that would be a little frustrating for sure. Can't have something heavy bangin' around on the 3 point non-stop! Looking forward to seeing the new flail mower. Thanks for sharing Brock 🤠
Your spot on Brock, it's the design and play that stresses it out and breaks things. I had same style quick adjust that was OEM and had same issues. Both stabilizer arms finally broke and my flail mower fell off and left me stranded temporarily. I replaced with aftermarket that's around a tenth of the price and there's no sway and overall waaay better. I won't go back to the OEM style junk I had on, it's not worth my time money or aggravation. Good video 👍🏻.
Interesting that they wore out. I'm going the other way and getting rid of the turnbuckles and putting on telescoping arms. We'll see how that turns out....hope they don't wear like yours!
my kioti tractor came with the pin style stabilizers. it has a small amount of play but nothing like yours. good news that no one was hurt in the accident. out here in California your insurance would be costing $1,400 a month
My Mahindra had very small amount of play, but after it bangs around and where's the holes out it begins to be excessive amount of play, then breaks. Don't like that design! Convenient to adjust for sure but that's all.
What caused your early failure was by not putting the spacers back in on the main shaft on the front of the lift arms. Every time you moved the arms, i could see the front of the arms moving all over the place. You already made your problem worse by neglecting to put any spacers back in to keep the front of the arms from sliding around. I have these same telescoping stabilizers on ALL my tractors, and no issues at all.
I think your adjusting your arms incorrectly. On my Kubota you adjust to make them the most even. If you find a lot of slop on one side, and the pin wont adjust to the next hole, go to the opposite side. it's slightly different spacing where you can take out the slop on the opposite side. just a thought, thats how i take out the side to side slop.
My 2003 boomer has the telescoping style with pins. I don't have any of those issues, but it might be partly because of the material used. He may have to go with a harder material to prevent the egging out issue. Sometimes the width of an attachment I put on allows some swing. If it's too much I usually just push it more to one side to tighten up the swing.
Are these the stabilizers you installed a year ago and highly recommended? built by Stabilworks ? He has a year warranty on his products, mine so far seem fine, there is no play at all once the pin is set
Yes, that is the ones I’m having trouble with. I didn’t mention his name or his website, because I’m not meaning for this to really be a negative review. I had them on the tractor for 400 hours of use, and I hang a lot of weight on the back of my tractor. Maybe it was my fault in someway. I probably will contact him and just have a conversation about what happened and get his thoughts on it.
@@RockhillfarmYT I just installed them on my 3038e, took 6.months, so the demand for them is high, they seem very well constructed, look forward to giving them a workout, will let ya know if I run into any issues, Thanks for all the work you do, keep it rolling in the new year!
That’s too bad that you’re having issues with them. I have a set on order for my 2038R that is hopefully getting delivered today (the tractor, not the arms) and will still see if they will work for me. I have an iMatch to hookup a box blade, tiller, and MX5. I’m hoping that they don’t put as much stress on the arms as your stump grinder does. Thanks for the follow up info as I decided to order these based on your first video when you installed them.
I meant to say I’m glad no one was injured in the accident as well, my kids have already given me gray hair and they are not driving yet, but getting really close 😅
At 5:15-5:20 in the video where you are swinging the arm back and forth the lift arm has excessive movement side to side where it is attached to the tractor. Install a spacer to take that movement out would help remedy the problem.
That end of the lift arm is free to slide side to side 4 or 5 inches from the factory. I assume that is an intentional part of the design but when you lock it down with the factory stabilizers it does not move
I agree, my 2032R does not slide like that at the base of the lift arm. Your missing the spacer. I have never in my 40 years known a tractor to need that much side to side movement at the base of the lift arm.
I would expect that having the OEM stablizer on just one side would allow to snug it up tight. It may be a benefit to keep the telescoping one on the other (if it hadn't already been "hollered" out.)
Glad your son ok. You asked the other day if we would rent out things and I do not. One of our sons needed a chainsaw and I went a bought one for him. Yes, a Stihl. It is understood that you wanted to make money with a skid steer. Having new things is nice but the payments are not the nice part. You may have been better off to buy a used one and worked your way up to a new one. We bought a used tractor, had to put more money into than what I would have liked but it is paid off and set up the way I like it. Keep doing what you have to so the payments can be made. Might be time to stop buying and pay things off.
Statistics say that most accidents happen within a mile of your house, that's why I always park my truck a mile away from my house and walk that last mile. Better to be safe than sorry.. (for some out there this is called humor) I figured I better clarify before I get how stupid I am for parking a mile away..

I think it’s just that my stump grinder weighs 1000 pounds and I carried it on the back a lot

Mine has a slotted hole for when I need a little sway and a single hole for when it needs to be rigid. Is there not any additional holes in yours?
I can see where that would be a little frustrating for sure. Can't have something heavy bangin' around on the 3 point non-stop! Looking forward to seeing the new flail mower. Thanks for sharing Brock 🤠
glad everyone is ok. I have that type of stabilizer on my new holland and it does not play that much.

Those draft arms look just like the ones I had lol
Yes sir. Hope you are doing well
So glad you’re sons not hurt and all is well. Easy to fix a car. Not so much with people. ❤
Exactly
Thanks

I was going to say the same thing, my Kioti CK3510SE doesn't have hardly any play in the telescoping link arms.
My Mahindra had very small amount of play, but after it bangs around and where's the holes out it begins to be excessive amount of play, then breaks.

My tractor never had any spacers there, and the difference might be the backhoe sub frame

If he redesigned his bracket hole to use a "shoulder bolt" that problem may go away!
You sure that’s a per month price for the insurance? That seems crazy high
full coverage insurance on 2 teenage boys ain't going to be cheap
Tearing shit up, sorry😢
