I feel like a talented and skilled enough builder can make a MOC of any character look great. But what really impressed me about all 3 of the revamps is that they all looked so different and unique, showing a number of different ways to reimagine a character
Pohatu was my first Toa back in 2001, and I'm so happy with what they did for the G2 design. He's awesome. Also love the weapon. As seen in the Huka moc in the video, it's really cool how the weapon can fold in half and the axles are perfectly aligned three studs wide. Lots of fun options!
Since his legs were never as beefed up as originally, I always imagined putting G2 Pohatu's boomerangs on his feet as sand shoes or his original toe pistons. There isn't a great way to connect them to his hands in the actual set, but they could also be used to represent his Nuva/Phantoka claws.
I want to thank you for your job. It's pleasure to see again BIONICLE mocs in such a good quality content with constancy. You know, you can't do tons of views on narrowly focused topic like this (after death of series years ago). So it hits different and the more valuable it is.
I think its the grey arm thats the fake/armored one. Could be made of Stone, because the other arm matches the rest of his body, also the boomerangs are great for wings in mocs
Hey. I actually have this set. Edit: His Body was short so I decided to make him taller, turned his blades into a jetpack, gave him a sword and turned his stinger blade thingy into a gun.
The changes I made to my pohatu: Restoring the kick feature Both shoulders have the piston piece to evoke his two balls on his shoulders Lastly have him use the boomerangs as his shoes like in the animations

There must be something about Pohatu because there wasn't just one standout in the revamps, they were all incredible.

pohatu is a great set and a great character
That gold pohatu revamp uses the hewki mask 8 times (three on each leg) with the golden hau as feet!

Y'know, I just realized they gave Pohatu G2 the brain attack torso armor. I wonder why.
