I have bought two of these and neither one of them works. I charge the batteries and the light comes on when I turn it on, but the blade wont spin. I can’t seem to find anywhere what is wrong. Is there something I am missing or not doing. Two have had the same issue. Looking for help if you have any. Thanks
I personally do not like battery operated rotary cutters. The batteries are junk. I love this model. It has lasted years and I use it weekly. Other than changing the blade and adding oil its perfect.
I use it to cut faux leather frequently. I can cut 10-15 layers at once for lychee. 5-6 layers of heavy glitter leather and 5 sheets of transparent PVC. The average thickness of my leathers are 0.50-1.00mm.
It's not very heavy and there is multiple cutting speeds. There are rollers on the bottom and it glides across the table easily. Speed depends on the type of fabrics you are cutting.
How did you line up the blade to the marked line? Is there a guide piece on the machine?

Practice! Lots of practice!

It will cut fabric. But thin fabrics like cotton tend to shred.

What’s the thickness over the opening for the blade? Will it except 2 1/2 inch thickness?
It only has a 1" clearance.
Could I use a zig zag blade?

Does it cut sequin fabric?
It will but it might get caught in the blade from time to time. I prefer to hand rotary cut my sequin fabrics.
can it cut 8-9 oz leather?
I cut through ten 1oz sheets of leather without any issues
Have you cut minky luxe or fur?
I have not tried cutting fur or minky. I have tried 100% and it snags.

In my experience this cutter is more for bulk cutting and woven materials like cotton and cotton blends fray in the cutter.
