Against Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry Chargers defense did their best! Herbert Offense just needs to score more. Send QJ back to practice squad give the other depth WR a chance to prove them self.

It was just too much of an elite team that we played. They are in a different league. Herbert can't score more without quality receivers. One receiver is not enough. I think if we can trade QJ it would be great, but not sure any team would take him.

I’m pulling for QJ because I can tell he cares and he is working very hard. It’s easy for us as fans to vilify him but I think there is something to be said for is dedication and hard work. He clearly cares about the team and wants to help us win. The dropped passes by him have been really bad but he has improved by leaps and bounds this year. I think he still has tremendous upside.

We're asking too much of him. He's not a receiver that catches with his hands, he's more of a body catcher. He was a first-round pick. Compare that with our second-round pick in Ladd. The ball seems to stick to his hands; he doesn't drop anything.
The players hung in and fought. Mistakes and poor plays we made but there was no lack of effort. And being a fan for 20+ years, I appreciate that. I love the camaraderie of this team. Regroup and get the next one⚡️⚡️
Win or lose I’m just glad the Chargers are playing playoffs caliber teams, get those experience for the playoffs. Not even worried that we lost as long as we get in we good.
This is nothing against Q as a person. But he is more of a body receiver, not a hands receiver. It's not his fault; it is just not his skill set. The Chargers are asking him to do something outside his wheelhouse. I see that one dropped pass as the turning point in this game, even though he had 3 dropped passes and zero receptions out of five attempts. The fact that we didn't try to get a quality receiver during the trade deadline speaks volumes about the goal of this team. If they were trying to make a dent in the playoffs, there would have been some trades, but they see this as a rebuilding season. Just sad to see all those fantastic passes by Herbert go by the wayside. What would he be like with a talented receiving corps and elite Tight End? Once we fill those holes and then fill the holes in the secondary and the interior front offensive line, we should be able to compete with the best of the best, just not this year. This may also be why we're not a second-half team. If we could have the first-half team still playing in the second half, we would put the fear in anyone, but we can't maintain that momentum. So we need to all lower our expectations for this team for this year. The last two games illustrate to us that it's difficult to compete with the really elite teams right now, but that's OK. We shouldn't have expected for it to be a complete turnaround in just one season with as many holes as we have. The fact they have played as good as they have is a mark of excellent coaching. After all, the coaches can only do so much with the players they have.
Hard fought game and even tho they ran all over us we were still in the game. A couple of plays go our way and we win this game. Nothing to be ashamed of or negative comments, this is year one of the retool/rebuild year, we don’t have all the pieces we needs and we are right there with the best of the best, also I love Mack and his attitude ! Give him all the money he wants

I don't understand why Herbert keeps going to QJ. once or twice a game he throws him a contested opportunity which is never remotely close to being caught. And then the drops today my god the guy is completely in over his head, and the arrogance to wear #1 is just so delusional the guy is horrible

The way these guys talk after interviews compared to a lot of other teams makes me have even more respect and appreciation to have these as our guys.

40 harrison clearly helmet to helmet hit on tucker Fisk last night.. refs definitely felt one sided. I don't think I've ever seen so many flags picked up in an nfl game. But it's all good we got outplayed for sure bitter taste in the mouth moving forward
