Submitting our final mortgage payment in 7 days. As the youngest of 10 kids, we always knew that money was tight and learned contentment at an early age. Now I have 3 kids and will be 40 this year and can't begin to stress how nice it's been to never feel like i need all the "stuff" in life which has made it 10x easier to use our margin to plow through a 208k mortgage in about 46 months on 2 teachers' salaries. Thanks for posting all the inspiration on the channel, and I hope someone reading this comment can find hope and inspiration. Contentment is key.

I'm going to be honest - I was excited when I saw NY! But then I heard $230,000. I'm happy for him & his family because that's still a lot of debt to pay off. But can we have guests paying off $400,000+ balances??? I'm from NY and I was expecting $600,000 mortgage paid off..... It takes people 7-10 years to pay off $300,000. Can we hear from people paying off larger balances in the same time frame. It would really encourage the rest of us 😅
I appreciate that feedback! I'll aim for more of those types of interviews in the future. Here's a couple in London who paid off around $475k (USD): ruclips.net/video/1SVIljIeNoI/видео.htmlsi=vtsODrK3QIeqqllU Michigan ($400k): ruclips.net/video/ixIV5KkSmF0/видео.htmlsi=1xjgekEPlJC81RCc Winnepeg ($320k): ruclips.net/video/qxWe0ccudRc/видео.htmlsi=hwSBtLM2LtvDOdSZ
Thanks for another inspiring video! It’s wonderful seeing the variety in the guests and we can learn lots from the different mindsets. That was a great and active decision by Larry to keep the mortgage low!
I appreciate the message of income doesn’t matter if you budget appropriately. This is not untrue, but when the income is likely in the 7 figure annually, it seems a little disingenuous.
I understand how people get emotional when it comes to a mortgage. In the same breath I'm also thankful I don't allow emotion to creep in to my finances. I have a 30-year, 2.25%, and there is about a 0.0% I'll ever pay one penny ahead on that. After I hear from people, my wife and I may be outliers. Since we refinanced (no-cost) our home and locked in that rate in '21, we both have seen over 30% in salary increases. I feel like I'm stealing money from the bank because my payment is so low. When we built our home, we paid $390k and today its "worth" $750k.

Thank you for having Larry on the show!
A fun learning experience for me especially as a Dad who is not quite to the "teenager" zone yet!

That's an incredible rate! I totally understand where you're coming from.
