That kayak is a fishing battleship machine. Awesome review video. The only cons I see is you need a trailer, its heavy and I don't own it. The Bonafide PWR are really nice but no option for a pedal drive. I saw a couple Hobies with spot lock Saturday and alot of those motorize Pelicans which were jon boats at a small local electric lake. The bass boats running only trolling motors was bogarding the islands and waypoints lol. Nitro Z20 on a 310 acre lake , come on man lol
I listen to your podcast on Pandora and your the first podcast I listened to that I absolutely enjoy. I suffer from mental things n it really help listening to you and you guests. Thank you for another coping mechanism. Much love from southern Michigan.
@@BanksOpenKayakFishing thanks for the response. Since you have a 129 could you tell me how effective the rudder is when using it with a trolling motor? I’ve seen some people comment that the rudder is ineffectual when you have an Xi3. My goal is to slow troll with the Xi3 and use the rudder to steer
Hey. This weekend I went to promised land lake for 2 days and fished for about 6 hours each day. I caught nothing, even though I went out and bought wacky worms, swimbaits, and top water luers. Do you know what I might have been doing wrong? Also, just discovered your channel! Really great content.
I'm curious about how the P127 is behaving with the Newport. I've been thinking about a motor for my P127 since I got it 2 years ago, but I don't hear many positive reports. It seems P127 design is not very conducive with motors.
Hello, i just bought a non fishing kayak recently and was hoping I could turn it into a fishing kayak. Do you have any tips on how i could do this or things i would need on it?
Depending on what kind of kayak you got ( sit in vs sit on top ) modding them with fishing related accessories can be fairly easy but more than likely will require drilling holes which as long as you properly seal them won't cause any issues, what I've seen many people do is attack your favorite brand of mounting track for things like Yak attack accessories and then go from there.
@@gman7281 I installed flush mount rod holders behind the set , a clip type paddle holder and velcroed a couple 3600 waterproof tackle cases in front of the set. You might want a small water resistant tool pouch also. Remember velcro , magnets and marine glue are your friend. I did this before I bought a sit on top fishing kayak
Love my p127. I feel like Bonafide doesn’t make anything specific as far as upgrades for this yak. For being the most expensive one, I feel they should show it more love and not overlook it.
How much noise do you get from the pedal drive? I’ve been debating either the bonafide or an old town and I’ve had several people tell me the propel drive is quite noisy and talk about spooking fish when getting too close. Also, if you unlatch the drive and leave it unlatched, can you pedal it without it flopping around? ill mostly be in lakes but we have a river about an hour from me that i frequent and there are lots if shallow areas and submerged rocks so it would be nice to be able to leave it unlatched in those situations so it would flip up if it hits something or drags

Another excellent, honest review! Unfortunately you forgot to mention the most important accessory, the cigar cutter.
:) True Story...
Great information and a really great kayak
Thanks boss!

Yep a trailer is a must, I know people have topped Hobie PAs and other big heavy kayaks but I can't imagine trying to do that with my Knarr

Heck yeah brother! Glad it helps
Back to basics has left the chat. You have got a floating island there. 😮😅😊 I missed the part with the burger restaurant and clean toilets. 🤭😆😂🤣
Coming soon
Thanks, for an excellent review. Well balanced. Sorry to hear about the slow to drop rudder since I’m considering a PWR129.
Who knows.. maybe they figured it out.
@@wendellfishing maybe…..
You just have to adjust the tension. It will drop fine if tuned correctly.
@@BanksOpenKayakFishing Tried it.. no go

Great video! Thank you
You bet!
Sick setup.
If only it was an old town 😊
lol
We call that the Jed Clampett rig. Taking the tackle room to the Lake. 🤣🤣🤣
If I took my tackle room to the lake.. my kayak would be at the bottom of the lake

Right now I am fishing jig 90% of the time... how proficient are you at those?
@@wendellfishingnot very. I am very new to kayak fishing (just got one 3 weeks ago). Is a jig a common lure I should have in my tackle box?
@@GarrettSolderitch yessir... I have a Video coming out on June 1st on baits for June.. more info there
@@wendellfishingoh great! Thanks for the help. Kayak fishing is my new fav thing to do, lol
What kayak would you suggest for someone who is 270lbs . Ive been looking at this one but after hearing what you said i want to look at other options
Look at the NuCanoe line

Yeah, I woudn't agree at all.. a NK180 mounted on the stern will power this at 4.5MPH. Here's the install: ruclips.net/video/OHb1XE8Cd3M/видео.html

It's pretty quiet.. I am having no issues
im 5'9 220lbs and i get very little water in through the scupper plugs.
Do you run motor and battery weight?
@@wendellfishing not yet but just ordered a fish finder .
Could you not just put scupper plugs into the holes? That’s what I did on the lifetime I have and now have 0 issues. I’m 6’2” 220lbs
You definitely could.. however, scuppers are designed to drain water.. not take on water
@@wendellfishing right you are, you can get ones that you can open and close.
Hows this compare to your native? I think the natives are more superior.
Not a real apples to apples comparison as the titan would be more of a comparison and I dont have my hands on one
