Of course playing for more than four hours in a stadium that cheers against you, and getting to the fifth set, is a great test of resilience (oops) or mental toughness. Congratulations to Sinner, who is a Lord even with the (political) compliments for the opposing crowd.
Alcaraz's raised-arm incitements to excite the crowd speak in favor of his mental weakness and his need for support.
Is he a champion? Yes. As a man and respect for his opponents, in my opinion he still has to mature.

Maybe Sabalenka can watch how Sinner is magnanimous in defeat, even when you were arguably the better player (which she was not yesterday, yet Sinner arguably was today) 🙄

As a Sinner fan, this broke me. Huge respect for Alcaraz too but Sinner was so close.
Reminded me of Fed - Djoko in Wimbledon 2019 when Fed lost having championship points. It's a shame this sport can only have one winner.
