What are the benefits? Losing mind sooner and not getting any response to bugs and/or improvement requests :) if you call that a benefit
THIS.
The lack of Linux support... 😁
That's one of the reasons why Uno wins hands down imho:
You can add Linux, Mac and WebAssembly (with a drop-down change in a single project solution, not by integrating a different framework like Blazor) to all the pros mentioned in this video 😅 🎉
that's great VS Code now supports MAUI!
MAUI should be one of the best technologies out there but its a shame it is not. Avalonia has more future than MAUI by a 1000 years.
I'm a .net backend developer and I have never heard avalonia before. I will look it, thanks!
Honestly, I'd rather use blazor. maui's cross platform support is kind of lacking and the widgets too.
My favourite part is how MAUI is *not* cross platform like UNO Platform or Avalonia are
When there is a comparable, matured amount of widgets, controls to flutter, I will look at this tech
MAUI isn't cross-platform, at least until Linux has first-class support. Oh well, better luck next time for when Microsoft writes their 43rd UI framework of the past decade.
