I literally have 2 mixed foam rollers sitting in my rooms corner right now, looking at me while I have pain throughout my whole body due to recent grind to land cork lmao Thank you very much, man!
This is great advice for the young trickers and even as a reminder for us older trickers, I'm into my 10th year of tricking and this is 100% my mindset these days. love the videos bro.
I've tried adding foamroling to my routine for many years, but I allways ended up injured because of it. Rolling glutes causes back/hip pain, rolling quads gives kneepain, rolling shins gives shinsplints, rolling back gives backpain. I've watched many tutorials how to do it, and I make sure to not overdo it, but still... Now I'm sacared of using it, so I just do exersices for mobility, stability and strengtening. Having damaged disc makes it really hard to figure out what to do and not do.
This is really interesting..never heard this before. In my experience, I can say that I experience dimishing returns if I keep rolling the same muscles the same way, so I try to switch it up and roll when I need to, not overdoing it. Also at times I have relied too much on my rolling, and actually found more relief when I strengthened those musscles in addition to the rolling. Sometimes the muscles cant keep up to what you need no matter if theyre rolled and pampered haha. I wonder if this would apply to you though I really am just guessing based on my experiences. Thats all I've got!
Yeah dude absolutely you should try it! Let me know how it goes! Roll all the muscles attaching to anything that hurts so theres no uneven tension on the joints from those tight muscles.
Damn, I love your smart attitude and it makes me a bit sad that such a good advices built on eperiences dont get much more attention. And this topic hits me just on time because I feel pain in one side of my lowerback from training swings and laches (I am pk guy) and I would like to ask you about your experiences with muscular and body imbalances, because in tricking (and even PK) theres a lot of movements done just one one stronger or more comfortable side. Do you try at least basic tricks on opposite or do you ballance everything by stretching and rolling? Thanks for the response and for doing these vids. :)
Really appreciate the comment man!! To answer your question, i can trick both sides but almost exclusively train one-sided. I address imbalances mainly through rolling, stretching, and body weight conditioning - i condition both sides equally and mayybe stretch the sore spots more on one side but in general, i just try to keep my body moving and through all ranges of motion that are starting to tighten. That being said I am definitely not all symmetrical, tricking has had its effect, but im pretty well balanced out for the most part. Just dont sit down too long when you're sore the day after session cause i feel like that's when I tighten up like mad
I know this means nothing but your videos should get wayyy more views! Honestly might be your thumbnails? I don't know just a thought. Anyway, love the edit in the beginning! What song is that?
