Visited homeboy today. Met some amazing homies and homegirls. Pam, Cynthia, Terrence, Greg, Warren and Cindy all moved me to the core. They're all a reflection of this man's work who is a reflection of the incarnational love of Christ.

Father Boyle is a national treasure. I’ve watched many of his interviews, such a caring, funny, and brilliant man who is full of so much grace. There is no telling how many lives he’s positively touched.

Love the story of Father Boyle. He has helped the barios of East L A like no one else. They just don't teach baking. Homeboy Services teaches how to run a business. He is Irish, and that makes it sweeter. His Barrios are mostly Mexican/Latinos, and the Mexicans and Irish have a history. They are a mutual admiration society. last summer, just after Mass, Father Gregory Boyle took a drive through Boyle Heights, the East Los Angeles neighborhood where he has lived for 26 years. That they share a name, the priest and his neighborhood, is a coincidence.
