the bike is looking sick! love the look of black and yellow! great job!!!! sadly my build has come to a complete stop. I can't save anything from the engine, even the engine casings are so buggered i can't reuse them. But this happens sometimes. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the rm finished!!
that good idea with the strap on stand ☝️☝️🤙🤙 , you looking deep in concentration putting motor in with out scratching frame 😓 , she looks great out in the sun ☀️ coming together very nice 👍
Damn, that's going to look bitchin when it's done. I've always loved 125's, parts are cheap and most of them are less than 200lbs, can you say singletrack WEAPON! Always been a Yamaha Man, and seeing that YZ125 in the background is making that itch start again. What year is the YZ?
I have a dilemma...I bought is used 02 RM125 (not running) and the Cylinder jug wasn't mounted..I was told it just need a piston...installed new piston, but the piston was 8mm above cylinder deck TDC...so i figured the Crankshaft was from an 04 and above (which 04-08 rods are 8mm longer) after looking at the installed rod I was correct. It was an upgraded wiseco 04-09 rod.....I upgraded the crankshaft with a HOTRODS, so now piston is level with cylinder deck (piston and all exhaust ports are good)... now as I was installing the cylinder head brackets; the upper frame bracket was short...maybe like 5mm-8mm...WTF...im stumped...Can anyone reading this measure their Cylinder JUG height (base to deck) and post their year...MY supposed 02 RM125 cylinder is 89MM.
@@BrokenSprocket Frame brackets #36f1 which are correct for my year...you have the same RM as I do...would you know off hand your cylinder jug height?..Im thinking my cylinder is from another model year...
Broken Sprocket haha I would but have a few other bikes in front of it at the moment! TTR125 Minimoto, ZX6RR racebike, CRF50 minimotard for the kids etc etc
That swingarm... I can't believe it's so shiny that you could see the press on the other side of the garage. It looks so cool well done Steve
And the swingarm was dirty at the same time.
Amazing build currently working on an 05 yz125 myself, more time spent buffing than anything else
Yes there very time consuming good luck with your build.
Can’t wait for the final result video and first strap! 🤟

Looking good. Nice camera work and editing with all of the different angles. That’s so time consuming but worth it.
Thanks Donnie it is time consuming but rewarding at the same time.

@@BrokenSprocket watching it now :)
Hey man, love the videos! What paints did you use for the frame and engine covers?
Thanks mate 2pack paint on the frame and heat proof paint on engine covers.
Why didn’t you grease the swing arm pivot bolt😬😬😬
There is already grease on it.
Hi, where did you source the gold rims? I am struggling to source any front rims.
F1 moto. Try them on line.
Where’s the rest of the restoration videos?
There on the way still lots more to come.
I have a play list of the progress so far over 15 videos.

Maybe the frame brackets are the wrong ones.
