@@TheHiddenDaggerInn Yeah we kind of fucked ourselves by not using game files since almost every other map is lol but we will eventually have server specific maps and allow users to place pins for the items they have seen the most of in-game so I'm hoping this will eventually become the more accurate map since game files just say "Oak trees? Everywhere" lol
@@Elleandria I wouldn't get too committed. I have a feeling that once the treasure map system is refined, the system will be randomized/generated in some way. I suspect each of hundreds/thousands of locations, where a treasure map or object can be, will be described on the map, and randomly selected when the treasure map is generated. If you are not holding the specific quest or map for the location, it is just going to be ground clutter. Intrepid are pretty passionate about this not being a theme-park MMO, and all the realms being different. I wouldn't be surprised if all the realms had certain number of their POIs and/or Node types randomized on the map, when it is created. The fact that the game files are so generic, lends credence to the idea that a constant map is not what the game is about.
@@TheToledoTrumpton Nothing can ever be truly random in code though, especially since people are data mining the game and IS seems to not care whatsoever it's all going to be public information at some point. We've been apart of testing for years now and most of my team are Pre-A0 so we all understand the direction IS wants to go alongside which way we want to bring the map alongside them.
@@Elleandria "Nothing can ever be truly random in code though" The map isn't code though because, as you say, it is data mined. As long as they write it to a constant sector of memory, it can be variable; all you are mining is potentially the current map as known by the player, or a default Alpha2 map, before they turn on dynamic mapping. It could easily be refreshed every time you log on, and then maintained in real time for your current map sector. There is undoubtably a static layer for the map, but when you enter a server sector of the map, you will get a dynamic map layer refresh and then updates on any changes to the dynamic layer, as part of a server frame. This will be updated in memory. As IS intend to have a dynamic map as one of the features for the Academic node unique buildings, I suspect they are not worried, because they know you can't do it. It doesn't make sense that they would allow you to potentially monetize a feature of the game for yourselves. They are testing stability and performance right now, so this may not yet be implemented, but I would keep data-mining and if the map starts to change significantly, or you start to see obfuscation then you may have to give up. I'm just trying to do you a favor, because what you are doing doesn't sound theoretically consistent.
Nice video. There's also one in Oakenbane(GoM), Highwaymen Hills, Steelbloom, and then scale is in Highway man too supposedly but it's not in game yet(says the dev)
@TheHiddenDaggerInn Yeah I die everytime I do it. But at the start of the game, it's not that bad since as long as you don't set your Embersrping, you can unstuck or die and be put back to Lionshold. Saves a ton of running time, with no downtime since if you die, you'll just be ported back home and can go turn in. Same goes for GOM and Steelbloom. Altho steelbloom is impossible without help. You have to clear a room of mobs in order to procure it.
I kept interacting with that thing in the tent, but nothing was happening and I didn't get the quest yet at the time, so I didn't even connect the two. And I didn't get around to properly figuring out the other parts of the quest, so this vid is highly appreciated for this friday.
@@TheHiddenDaggerInn no worries and it does. When you get a second and if you want to update for the next sub quest xeno knows how to get the oath piece (overlord squad up lol)

Great stuff, you should have included the spot for the grom though. Gives nearly 60% of a level and gets u nearly right too 7. Isn't too hard you just need to run past some mobs and know where/when to jump.
Ty, ya I had only done the 3 for the quick 6. However if they do keep them without nerfing I will try to get all of them posted. Appreciate the comment and welcome
When the game comes out it 15.00 a month, if you want to test on Mov 8th it's 120. This will least well over a year so it will come out less than 8.00 a month. You have to figure the cost of servers to keep up during testing is very costly, this helps them and gets serious testers at the same time. but hey you can stick with 100.00 diablo and play it for a week like I did.
Why does the video cut at 1:35, the last step that actually shows you WHERE TO GO? Also you don't even need to compare these quests to the commission board: The commissions are terrible.
Only thing you missed there was me running into the waterfall and up the stairs, have to keep relevant video to where the audio is. I wanted to make the point about commissions so they are aware how I feel. thanks for the comment. Thun Hunt commissions outside the hunting lodge are pretty decent, but those are about it.
THIS QUEST HAS BEEN CHANGED!! NOW HAS A LEVEL REQUIREMENT AND YOU CAN NO LONGER FIND IT IN THE WATERFALL. WAS GOOD WHILE IT LASTED
thanks for warning
What's the level requirement and new location?
@@Riecheck All I know is the quest is supposed to be located at the nodes now, I haven't done them since it was changed.
Thank you for the shout out
Most welcome thanks for the hard work!
