@@marcthemagicman4644 no? Mirror matches only matter on characters that are broken. For example, soj on release, brig on release, pharahmercy mirror etc
@@marcthemagicman4644 Not every hero can be as dominant, so even if you have the better Genji for example, that doesn't necessarily mean that Genji will just be able to carry. With Illari it definitely looks like she has pretty strong carry potential.
HS with her is not that hard considering it's an unscoped hitscan, just get the timing right and you're set. Legit just Sojourn with less steps

Blizzard got laughed at so bad with the underpowered lifeweaver, they just went NUTS and threw their keyboard out the window, letting the impact of the numpad on concrete decide what the damage stats of the next "healer" looks like

I actually like the direction they’re going with supports being damage dealers I’d rather feel like I got outplayed through damage than all of the invulnerability moves they have which still need deleted

When Dafran plays support he could care less about healing lmao, healing himself is priority number 1

Honestly I dont even think its like the stats or numbers that make her op. Its just the fact that she is a self sustain hitscan. Literally just a better dps lol
I think this also shows the biggest issue with dps role. You rely so heavily on supports to even heal you. More characters need self sustain abilities.
yeah most dps heroes wont be able to duel a good Illari until they have a mercy pocket but I do think her hitscan gun does too much dmg
The numbers are clearly what makes her OP, pylon is basically a better mercy: 50hps instead of 55 but huge range and autotargeting weak targets. On top of that her beam alone is the best HPS in the game at 120 when 2nd best is Ana at 94. With pylon and beam she's at 170, close to twice what Ana can put out. Her DPS number is not crazy though, below Bap and around the same as Ana depending on the number of headshots
@@alfred9805 Yeah for me is the pylon that makes her too op. Dps is fine, just require good aim. But the pylon is just retarded I swear, and it seems that there is no verticality limit to it, just can just put it as high as you want, it will still heal you. So basically, if you place you pylon well for your team, you can just run around shooting people. And I think, this is not fair regarding the other supports. Bap, Ana or Kiriko have to make a choice between healing and dpsing, they can't do both at the same time, which ask you to think well of what you are doing in the game.
Actually the only thing that needs to be changed rn tbh is an ult charge nerf and a turret heal nerf
I think the perfect balance would Be 20% more ult cost and her self heal from the turret should be 25 per second not 45
Yea, I honestly think shes pretty well rounded but she gets her ult way too fast. Kind of like ram when he was first released
The only thing I can think of that she might need to be "balanced" is a slight decrease in the healing she receives from her turret.
But even then I don't think she's broken like everyone is saying she is lol

2ndary fire healing charges ult SO fast when used on low hp tanks, heal from critical 3 or 4 times and its charged, so crazy, 100% worth using on tanks as an ult battery

While Dafran is an amazing player, he does make the character seem much more amazing than it should be because the players hes against got plat/gold movement. As soon as that Kiriko moves properly, he misses a bunch of shots. That pocketed genji makes me want to gouge my eyes out.
Dafran is top500 beating on plats true but that doesn't change the fact illari is mega broken. 2 shot hitscan boop and movement ability in 1, 200 heals per second and a dps ult that lets you fly. Everyone complains about how much dmg kiri does and they release another support with the same dmg except now its hitscan, she can heal herself better and can just boop you and fly away. Her ult isnt even supporting/enabling like all the other supp ults it's literally just a dps ult
@@samwilliams6801how is her ultimate not a support ultimate? It requires your team to follow up on it to get it's full effects. Plus her ultimate can be used to get people away from your team and buy time for you.
@@samwilliams6801she's not mega broken, the reason she has such good damage and healing is being they're inconsistent, destroy her turret and she's dead. A Baptiste or Ana with good aim gets kills way quicker than her. If you're dying to her it's a skill issue, most dps should be able to take her out instantly when her turrets gone
Honestly, he might be playing against silver players in this video. Any character he can use will look mega broken when the level of competition is this bad. Character looks fun, though. Nothing wrong with a damage-oriented support instead of the boring ass lifeweaver we got last time.

And how do they "just shoot it" if its behind a wall. "a bap or ana gets kills way quicker than her" literally just untrue. Bap sure ill give you because his gun fires fast as hell but no one out of top500 is 2 bursting people on the regular. ana literally has way less dps and you can't peekshot corners the same way illari can. Being able to charge then peek a corner repeatedly is insane and it's not the same as bap or ana standing in a lane shooting at people. Every other supp ult is enabling or defensive. nano, rush, window being enabling and beat trans tree being defensive with coal being a middle ground. it doesn't require team follow up tho, hit a headshot on someone you hit with your ult and they explode and it chains. good players arent letting you just run at them to shoot their turret she can 2 hit you while she has a 35-40hps turret on her and has an immediate escape if multiple people run at her, you sound like a plat-diamond player that thinks "just run at her while she misses shots easy win" except gm supports aren't bots and will shoot you back

It's a self-healing dps. So now basically the team will only have one support that actually heals the team. Everyone who uses Illari uses for dpsing.

Illari gives me the same vibes as when they first released Brigitte in her horribly overpowered form. She's basically Zenyatta but with way more survivability, dps potential, and better movement.

Bear in mind that the 2v1 Dafran got into vs genji mercy was actually a 2v2 because the pylon has basically the same HPS as mercy

Here before the nerf of the century
I'm not sure her DPS is overtuned, she has 75dps and reduced headshot multiplier. Both Bap and Ana have better DPS unless illari can land 50% headshots then she has similar DPS to Ana.
Though they might want to bring her damage down to 70 per shot for the tracer breakpoint, similarly to what they did to Ana in this patch.
What's clearly overtuned is her healing, she has 170 HPS when the 2nd best is Ana with 94. The pylon is basically a bonus mercy with auto targeting and huge range.
Dev team looked at the numbers and added 50% to sell the juicy skin bundle and battlepasses, which is a shame because her esthetics and gameplay would have sold without the inflated numbers imo
so you are not sure how a character who does not need to focus on healing most of the match have an overtuned DPS aspect?
i mean, try not looking only to numbers when you compare her to bap or ana, zoom out and see the bigger picture:
amongst the three she is the one who need less time spent healing, that means more time spent DPSing
amongst the three she has the better offensive ult, ana needs a functioning teamate, and bap works more in the ways of area denial
amongst the three she is the hardest one to be dived, ana relies on hitting dart, bap is hard too but his longer cooldowns means that or you cant use then to help your team since you are afraid of the diver, or you use then and leave yourself vulnerable to the diver
and, to cap it all, she is the only one at this point who can effectively heal when dead, since pylon stays
her numbers are actually fine, the kit itself needs to be changed, pylon need to break easir or be deactivated for few secs after taking damage, and her shots could use some function changing, like dealing less direct damage but leaving the target marked for bonus damage on the next headshot

So ain’t no one gonna talk about how he was 1v2 with a primary healer and a dps for a solid 2 minutes and some how he team still lost that team fight at the objective 😭
Because shes a dps with a heal, she plays just like overwatch pre role queue. Teams often ran 1 support when sombras hacked health packs gave ult charge
So glad they finally have a DPS who has healing capabilities in their kit.

i'm that one noob who thinks moira would be a S tier DPS, and she is balanced by the fact that by playing her the way she was intended (flanks assassin) you leave you team with only 1 heal supp, and support is the most important role

@@chadbear8759I wouldn't say broken but I'd say she's top tier at least. However, she seems more like DPS than support due to the insane damage she can do. The thing I think she lacks is a way to save allies in a pinch like other supports like Zen with his ult or Baptiste's immortality field or even Anna's sleep dart which can stop ults.
you dont have to worry about healing if the enemy is dead - ult. Shes fun and viable and has really good burst heals. Its all about resource management and keeping her turrent from getting picked off.Honestly great job of a designing a fun imactful hero imo@@steelheart538

I’m getting 7k damage and 15k healing in 2 control point maps she’s the best support in the game. She makes up for other supports lack of burst heal esp lifeweaver and zen

she's so insane. The dps and healing potential is crazy
I know it’s not a competitive gamemode and it’s dafran so he makes everyone look cracked, but this character looks VERY strong
I suspect she's going to be one of those characters like Zenyatta where playing her okay-ish, just being responsible to use your abilities in fairly straight forward ways while avoiding obvious misplays, is enough to get value at lower ranks but her potential is so, SO much higher in the hands of players who can readily flip between playing bursty uber-support and strong two shot capable Cassidy players.
In those players? My God someone who can 100% top up a tank in a few seconds, has an auto-casting WoW Lifewell she can deploy then suddenly you're stuck dealing with an extra Cassidy until she 100%'s the tanks again in 3 seconds!?
