Thanks again Ashley. Love your videos. I love the fact Elvis put a mug in his music room made by a fan. That's what makes him a good hearted, appreciative, humble person while still being the king of rock and roll. Keep the videos and trivia nights coming. Really enjoy.
Hi Ashley Adventures .I love the photos of the living room and the music room. This photos from 1963 tell me that Elvis is a multi artist not only a song artist he was a Interior architect and stylist too !
Hi Ashley! It’s been a minute since I’ve see my fav Elvis girl. Having problems with getting my laptop replaced and am now stuck with a tiny phone screen ☹️. Not happy, lol. Great video and love the mug in his living room... that’s our Elvis. Hope to participate with you and the E family soon! Be well Ashley.
That first photograph is awesome. It’s magnificent to see the true Graceland decor from previous years. How many fans take the tour of the mansion & have the impression that Elvis last saw it as currently appears? At the time of his death, the living room was full of the red Victorian furniture which was garish & made it look like a house of ill-repute. Here’s a thought for you Ashley. Image walking into the front door& seeing the red living room with the formal furniture. Then walk past the kitchen to see the wooden carved furniture & green shag carpet in the den. It would be like 2 different worlds in the same house. Finally, go downstairs to the yellow & blue Lightning bolt room & paisley curtained walls of the pool room. What a cacophony of colors. I think whomever chose the current neutral colored decor in the living room was wise.
You’re the only person to say that! The 50’s/60’s look is timeless. While it would be great to see it as an actual time capsule, it wouldn’t make sense for a museum. Houses are typically brought to their peak period instead of most recent Thanks Marr!
Thanks Ashley, my favorite photo is the first one that you showed of the living room, I always wondered how that room looked in the early days. I’d be interested to know what changes Dee made to Graceland before Elvis came home from the army.
This Knabe White Baby Grand was bought by Elvis in '57 for $818.85. It dates back to 1912 and used by many other notable artists. Didn't he have it refubished? Vernon sold it in '71 to recording studio, I don't know why. The piano was bought back all these years later. Alot of this info is documented. But what you pointed out with these new photos is interesting.
Love the sunburst clocks! They are beautiful! Prefer the updated Graceland to the ‘50’s. I guess as Elvis became more and more popular, he was able to improve Graceland more and more too.
What ever happened to the big screen TV that was in the jungle room. I saw it on my 1985 visit… it is now long gone. It was one of those with three bulbs and a fold out screen..hmmm?
I’m fascinated by this sort of detail. Great video Ashley. What caught my eye are the cushions on the floor underneath the piano. Why are they kept there? They look untidy, surely you’d stack them? Or put them in a cupboard? They look strewn randomly across the floor. And yet they are still there in the photo of Elvis a few years later. Anyone else find this bizarre? I bet the maids wanted to tidy them away 😂
Hi Ashley, I love all your discovery 💗. I thought the pillows around the fireplace were very nice 😊 more seating and I the third chair was very nice too. You're the BEST Ashley. Take care and be safe Ashley and Mario. Until the next Trivia night see you soon 😊
Thanks Ashley. My favorite artifact is the statue of Jesus that was in Elvis's bedroom upstairs. Thanks to Mr. Fred Whobrey for sharing his awesome pics with us.👍
This video is cool. The chair we'd never seen. The pillows under the piano. Would like to know why they are randomly under there?? 🤔 Ashley I thought the squiggly things on the side of the piano might have been those pretty stickers you can get. You know, some kitchen stickers you can put on an entrance to a room . For instance in the kitchen it might say," Kitchen is where family comes together " In this case though, I don't know what the squiggly lines are.. Thought it might be musical notes which I could understand...it's a puzzlement! lol!! ♥️ (No trivia tomorrow right?)
Did you ever do a video on Graceland the 2nd? It’s a house built after Graceland using the plans borrowed by a doctor friend from the original owners of Graceland . Scotty Moore did an article on it around 2007 . It’s pretty fascinating because it’s built exactly the same but without a basement and the renovations Elvis did to the upstairs .
Just found your channel, i admire your passion and the way you present your videos. I have subbed and looking forward to warching all your past content. Thank you and sending all good wishes 💐 🇬🇧
I'd assume a piece of the decor on the piano broke off so they removed all of them. Or maybe because the piano looks better without it, which imho it does. Interesting video, thanks for sharing. My favorite artifact at Graceland is the Studz. Because when I visited Graceland in early 1984 it was under the carport and pretty much nobody around while I was checking it out. It was a beautiful day and imagined Elvis walking up and getting inside of the car because it was parked where he normally would have parked it. I had seen one before when I met Charlie Pride in a bank parking lot in Dallas. Charlie had a white Studz.
Oh my gosh, I love these old photos of the living room and the music room! The piano looks like it was refinished/painted and thus the flourish's are gone??? It definitely looks like the same piano. I love that Fred Whobrey got the fan gift on the coffee table. Looks like a big coffee mug or kind of stein. Very fun, very cool that Elvis had it displayed on the coffee table. My favorite photo is all of Fred's photo's! I am so glad they got rid of the sliding doors to the dinning room, it just looks so much more elegant without them to me. I know that was a thing back then, but I just didn't like them. lol Thanks Ashley, this was an interesting video, gotta love seeing original photo's from the early to mid 60's.
Hi! The clock over the fireplace, are you sure it’s not the same one without the frame? It looks absolutely identical! Look forward to hearing from you! Loving the videos! Thank you!
was wondering why the cushions for the piano seat were all scattered under the piano on the floor. I would have to have them stacked away somewhere. Loved the picture of the living room and the fan's homemade mug 💙💙
I asked my husband who is music teacher and jazz musician to look. Just below the keys in the b&w is a chip in the wood & white finish. When this happened the designs might have been damaged. This would be an easy repair and Elvis might have not wanted the designs back to prevent having to fix them. On larger pieces like this designs can be bothersome to fix over just paint. Our piano has quite a few nix from a jam session that got a little rowdy. One other clue that it is the same piano is the larger gaps closer to the front towards the bench. Look at the lid and follow it. They match. I hope that helps.
I’m a huge fan of elvis Presley’s I love 💕 elviss music and flims too elvis will always be the king 👑 of rock and roll 🎸 my. Dream is to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis elvis was an amazing entertainer that ever lived tcb 🕺⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️11:25am
Hi Ashley, A really well detailed report. I don't know what your thoughts are but... if I was allowed to photograph the inside of Graceland like Fred Whobrey I would have DEFINATELY used colour film in the camera!!
@AshelysAdventures the youtuber Beyond the Trailer didnt mention Elvis box office today . this movie reporter hates Elvis Presley. This reporter said in a video that Elvis liked really young girls.
Yeah I've paused the photo on my big TV that piano has been repainted at some point. Look at the foot of the piano leg in the B&W photo it is darker shade than piano. In the colour photo the whole piano is same shade of white/cream?
B&W photo - > Look at piano where seat is underneath it at keyboard there looks like a small chip in the wood. That small chip underneath keyboard is not there in the colour photo.
I'd say that wood has been cracked/chipped underneath the keyboard area at some point and the detailing on the side is painted on not a raised piece of wood or metal. I would say that piano has been repaired and repainted at some point. 👍

Couldn’t agree more about the mug! Thanks a lot James, glad you enjoy my content
How do we know that Elvis put that mug there....lol
Maybe they just did it for the tour. 😮
Although it's so nice it was kept around.
I love he actually used the fan gifts! That's why people will never forget him
Love the white piano with gold leaf! Having Elvis in a photo with it is just precious!😊❤
Thanks for watching!
I wondered why Fred was allowed to take photos in the house, for a publication? I love to see the older photos!
I’m not sure if it was for work but he was a fan and allowed in when Elvis was away
Elvis was very happy at Graceland! I love the living room and how he decorated his mother's room! He always wanted the best for Glady"s!
Thank you for watching!

Yes that is the same piano, but it was repainted.
I think the piano is the same but the lighting and camera angle along with the addition of color is obscuring the detail.
@AshelysAdventures the youtuber Beyond the Trailer didnt mention Elvis box office today . this movie reporter hates Elvis Presley. This reporter said in a video that Elvis liked really young girls.

is the fireplace today on the opposite side than in your pics
No. This photo is taken from the back of the room
In 1957 he had all the woodwork painted blue and one of the closet doors is still painted blue on the inside
That's right
Vc é mto boa no que faz
Eu realmente aprecio isso, obrigado
Just the flash of the picture blocked out the images on the piano.
Ashley after the divorce did elvis keep pictures around of Priscilla in the house
Yes! The picture of Priscilla with Lisa that currently hangs in the dining room was in the foyer in movie ‘This Is Elvis’

I think the details on the side of the piano are probably still there but they've been painted over in white.
I don’t know, it looks pretty smooth!
