    We are visiting Hiroshima on the14th and planned to visit miyajima on a full day visit.
    Ive seen many videos but yours is a Very gentle one .😊

    When i visited tue tori gate at low tide. I noticed that the miyadaiku have done a kanawa tsugi on the round pillars most likely for a repair job. I couldn't believe it. This must be the biggest kanawa tsugi in Japan 😊😊😊

      Nail does not stand long. There are many old temples and shrines but nails have not used for wooden structures.
      In Yakushiji temple, originally there were two pagodas with the same disign. But one was lost long time ago. So they built new five storied pagoda when I was a child. But the chief carpenter made the new one 50 cm taller than the old one. He said, " In 500 years, those two pagodas will be the same height. " I really felt their pride.
