Sometimes I like to pretend that I’m the thirteenth member of LOONA. I picked my subunit and came up with a solo song and music video. I literally created how I would be added to the story line and how I would fit into the group. I’ve thought about this way to much.
All three of them got super successful despite certain odds. BTS yes the overused small company thing, Blackpink have painfully so little music & Twice were just hated on massively from the get go. But now look at them...🙃

BTS were the underdog and surpassed the Big 3 while facing mistreatment because they were from a small company. And now they face mistreatment from US industry because they're non English speakers breaking barriers. Its a never ending cycle but BTS & Army push through despite the hate
The problem i have with their last songs is that they are basicly the same. Momoland gets bashed but for blackpink it's fine because they starve their fandom so much and people desperately want more. Imagine they had released these in the timeframe of an year. For a group that claims to be the revolution i expect simply more than this generic stuff where i allready know how the song will go just because i know the last one or better two. From an creative standpoint this is just disappointing. But since it's so successfull there isn't much need to put the work in to create something better. I wanted something better for me and them. In a few years after they disband the hype is gone and what remains will be a not really that impressive discography and that's a shame. From a finacial standpoint it's a smart move from yg and i get why they do it, but from an artistically point of view it's not that great tbh.
Westwindgeist i actually agree with you! blackpink needs to change it up, they’re already 4 years in the industry but their growth as artists isn’t visible considering they’re massively successful globally. i quoted the overrated line because i have noticed that people label successful songs as overrated when most of the time they actually aren’t. this applies to every group who are labeled as overrated just because they are successful despite the quality of their releases. i wouldn’t say blackpink is overrated, but i think they are overhyped, but i’m looking forward for their next release that would hopefully show their growth as artists with something new.

So I am gonna give my opinion on this- I think blackpink have similar concept but not all of their songs are about break-up,they do have a similar feel\vibe to it but that doesn't make the song a 2.0 or 3.0! Hylt was about not giving up against something you fear the most,I suggest you the lyrics,itzy are still a rookie group so we can't judge them yet! Thank you!😳
the bad thing is, that none of their songs are that good. maybe, because the boring formula is repeating itself for 16 songs straight. maybe stay and kick it could be ranked as objectively good and not boring.

I wrote a whole history for my imaginary group😂😂 I even made mini and full albums from other Kpop songs that would fit the concept, I even have a biography of my own members like wtf is wrong with me😂😂
Tbh although k-pop albums are hella expensive, the quality of the album is better than most other music genre albums because we get our money's worth. There's photocards, posters, a photo book etc.
i already said this but i'll say it again. overrated isn't a word to use when you don't like something and others do. first, we all have our likes and dislikes. second, the artist may have worked on it for days or weeks or more. and third, being jealous because a song by someone who isn't your ult or your fav is famous isn't a reason to hate on it.

My kpop confessions: 1-at first I memorized the names by the hair colors, and that wasn't the best decision. 2- I thought that momoland was the name that the fans give to Twice momo when I enter to kpop.
I made the same mistake by memorizing them by their hair colours because I never knew they dyed their hair. The most embarrassing moment was when I watched BTS' DNA music video and I tried to name all of the members then didn't know where Jin was in the mv because he looked so different😭

Depends on what age you get into kpop, how deep(?) in you are/how much time and energy you actually invest in it. For me, I just listen to and watch the groups I like, I don't bother interacting with the fandom or watching content of groups I don't like

My kpop confessions: American kpop fans are always complaining how they are forgotten by kpop companies. Like guys you're The most priviligied international fans ☠️. They're people who have to take a plane to go to another country to See a freaking concert when yall have usually 3 or 4 concerts in USA + KCon. And Also the album prices. Some states like where I’m at Arizona we hardly ever have kpop concerts literally the only concert we have had was Stray Kids and Itzy... we were suppose to have G(idle) and Monster X but COVID happened and those shows were canceled :( if any thing California is the most privileged state to have kpop events.

i NEVER care about anyone unstanning, its literally none of my business, but when they go around giving multiple unwanted HATEFUL opinions about the group or telling others that they should unstan them as well, thats when it becomes a problem. its not hard to keep that kind of toxicity to yourself

unstanning a group isn't a bad thing, but it starts to become one when people go around saying "this is why I unstanned ___" and start listing their negative and hateful opinions toward the group. not to mention there are videos with millions of views talking about unstanning blackpink and all the comments are literally bashing them. there is a line between unstanning a group and using it as an excuse to bring them down.

Winwinneverloseloses You should do it, it makes SUCH a difference. The quality is really good and you can really hear the song (background vocals stand out more and you just hear things in the song more clearly than when you just listen to it through speakers or something)

You'll probably like weeekly then! :) Their debut was amazing and definetly more focused on vocals than dancing. Just for that reason alone they instantly became one of my favorite 4th Gen groups (the other one being (G)I-dle).

My Confessions- -Momoland is Overhated, they get Death threats just for not smiling at Blackpink. They could simply be tired after a day of performing, or be shy to see someone that famous. -Fanfics are getting too sexual. -Just because a Group gets views on a song that you don't like doesn't make it automatically overrated. Keep your opinions to yourself, not everyone will like the same things as you. -Toxicity is getting out of hand in popular groups. There's always that one Diehard fan swearing at the person who simply didn't compliment them or said that the song isn't their type.
I first listened hylt in car with bass boost so when people didn't like hylt I got shocked, next time I listened to it it with earbuds...... the difference was big *so yeah the way you listen to a song affects a lot*

The problem i have with their last songs is that they are basicly the same. Momoland gets bashed but for blackpink it's fine because they starve their fandom so much and people desperately want more. Imagine they had released these in the timeframe of an year. For a group that claims to be the revolution i expect simply more than this generic stuff where i allready know how the song will go just because i know the last one or better two. From an creative standpoint this is just disappointing. But since it's so successfull there isn't much need to put the work in to create something better. I wanted something better for me and them. In a few years after they disband the hype is gone and what remains will be a not really that impressive discography and that's a shame. From a finacial standpoint it's a smart move from yg and i get why they do it, but from an artistically point of view it's not that great tbh.

i quoted the overrated line because i have noticed that people label successful songs as overrated when most of the time they actually aren’t. this applies to every group who are labeled as overrated just because they are successful despite the quality of their releases.

My confession : I almost unstan twice because that time when Blackpink were dragged because of the fake Mr. I found alot of once are the one who drag Blackpink down. -Momoland is Overhated, they get Death threats just for not smiling at Blackpink. They could simply be tired after a day of performing, or be shy to see someone that famous.
-Fanfics are getting too sexual.
-Just because a Group gets views on a song that you don't like doesn't make it automatically overrated. Keep your opinions to yourself, not everyone will like the same things as you.
-Toxicity is getting out of hand in popular groups. There's always that one Diehard fan swearing at the person who simply didn't compliment them or said that the song isn't their type.
