  • We have been using the Havahart trap to catch and relocate groundhogs on our property for years, so I figured I would record one of the catches to help provide a glimpse of the groundhog's mindset when entering the trap. The bait used here was cut cantaloupe. If you have any questions at all, feel free to email me at FoisyYT@gmail.com and be sure to subscribe to see more amazing fish and animal videos!

      Release miles away in the forest

    • @mikamamma
      @mikamamma Год назад

      Does it have to be “miles away”? Like, when I catch mine, if I have an area where he can be released that’s only a 1/4 mile away from my home, can I let him go there? Or will he actually find his way back into my yard because it’s not far enough?

    This is the saddest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I mean I’m so happy you didn’t kill him but still…how long did he have to stay in that tiny, confined area till you released him? It just broke my heart watching him see the free, open nature all around him, yet he couldn’t get to it because he was trapped😢😪🤧

      Until you have an issue with them, you won’t understand. They look cute, but they are destructive to property. They could have fully had their freedom in the open nature elsewhere but they chose that yard in a TNR cage. They’ll be fine.

      @@courtneyb7999 I HAVE had issues with them…my beautiful front lawn turned into a mini golf course with all the holes. I still think it’s sad.

      They actually make very good pets but they have to be captured when they’re very young. Make sure they are properly cared for as you don’t want to release them into the wild.
