I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us reach 1K subscribers! And I know most of you probably aren’t a big fan of ads on the videos, but letting them play is a great way for YOU to help support and grow the channel. Thanks for all the support! ❤️
About time you get some rewards from all your hard work and dedication. (p.s I was someone who talked about ad revenue in a previous comment you responded to.)
I think ads aren't really a Problem. The content you present is of high quality, so Yeah. Im willing to spend a few seconds for an ad before I watch the Video
I know it’s been a couple years, but if you’re still in the mood for Rock Raiders, my whole channel is dedicated to showcasing the theme! I think you’ll be able to find something there to tide you over until Jamie returns to making videos. :)
Thanks so much! And believe it or not, I think that was the very first time I’d ever put together a back-of-the-box alternate build. Glad you liked it! 😎👍
omg so much nostalgia, immediate subscribe for me ... do you plan to continue your Pirates series as well? Imperial Armada, Imperial Guard and Islanders are still waiting for you :)
@@TrikBrix i would be really interested in hearing your thoughts on Red Beard Runner ... personally haven't decided whether to add it to the fleet or not yet :)
Congratulations on 1k! Since watching your channel I've started my own lego classic collection! Really enjoy your content and here's to the next milestone!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you’re enjoying them! I only wish I’d have started about 10 years ago, when the competition wasn’t so stiff, lol. But I’m just happy to be a (small) part of the community. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
These small sets are cool! I remember getting sets this size once in awhile when we were out shoppping when I was a kid. Great times! :-D The second one is great and I agree fully on the tires and the printing on the window is great! And adding the suspension is a GREAT idea! I'm not sure I've ever seen that 5 pack bonus packaging!? Looks cool though - a nice mix of sets! M-Tron was a great theme and I'd love to get another sci-fi space theme that wasn't Star Wars! Thanks for sharing :-)
Thanks, Jakob! Even though they’re small, these sets were definitely great for a quick Lego fix! And yeah, I think the 5 pack is pretty rare, going by the secondhand market prices... Thanks again for watching! 😎👍
Congrats! Big fan of the vintage reviews. I'm super stoked to see your channel grow. Here's to many more subs (and videos of sets I wished I owned as a kid)!
Love these retrospectives :-) I had the Mega Core magnetizer which I think changed its name to Multi Core Magnetizer....really annoyed me that the turning mechanism above the window overtime put a half circle scratch as it rubbed against it ha.
Lol, yeah... I think just about every one of those big windows has the half circle scratched into it; I know mine does. Glad you’re enjoying them! Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Well, after M:Tron, I think I’m going to mix it up a bit. Maybe Pirates one episode, Adventurers the next, throw in some Castle every now and then, etc., etc. They’ll still all be retrospectives, but I think mixing the themes will help spice up the channel a bit, so someone who doesn’t necessarily like Western or Castle won’t have to sit through several months of nothing but those episodes. Plus, I’ll be able to start retrospectives that I don’t have every set of yet, so it’ll help me out too. Not sure if that answers your question, though, lol. 😄
Sorry for the late reply - for some reason your comment went into the spam section! Crazy RUclips! Lol. This particular video probably took 6-8 hours, between research, writing the script, recording the script, filming, editing, making the thumbnail, etc. And this video was a pretty simple one; some of the bigger sets have taken up to 12 hours just to film and edit! Definitely a labor of love! 😄 And it does kinda look like that, doesn’t it? Maybe they drew a little inspiration from this set!
Hey Trix bricks I'm in a dilemma can you help me I'm in between 3 great sets 3.75252 ucs imperial star destroyer (2019) 2. 4768 Durmstrang ship 1. 5988 Pharaoh forbidden ruins which one is best
If I had to pick one of those sets, it would definitely be 5988. I’m not a Harry Potter fan, so I can’t really offer an opinion on 4768, and the UCS ISD is a cool display piece, but I prefer my Star Wars sets to be more minifig-based and have interesting play features. Just my thoughts, though!
I miss the days of original Lego themes, too... they really inspired the imagination. Don’t get me wrong, I love Star Wars - original trilogy stuff, mostly - but I think these classic space sets had way more play value. Thanks so much for watching! 😎👍
I think it all depends on how many years I do this channel, lol. There are so many themes I’d like to cover eventually - Futuron among them - but we’ll have to wait and see. I just need unlimited time and money, lol! 😄
Nice vid. I really like these small builds. They spare your wallet and are great starting point for a Collection. I hope you will Change your mind about the small sets for adventurers Dino Island. I would really love to see a video summarizing them.
Thanks, JH! Glad you enjoyed it! And we’ll see what happens as far as the Dino Island small sets go... I might do a few of them. Probably not those cartoonishly small airplanes, though, lol.
@@TrikBrix I find the small planes kinda funny. However I think the interesting sets would be "Barron with Cage", "Dr. Lightning's Micrcopter" and "Mike's Swampboat". Two of these include Dinosaurs which makes them awesome (Also one has Mike, the newcomer) and the other has really useful accessories and cool alternate builds (overhead Projektor build with the printed camera tile for a screen)
I’ll definitely keep those in mind! Alas, I still need to get a bunch of the regular sets... and I’m REALLY not looking forward to buying all the Orient Expedition sets. I mean, I’m looking forward to the sets themselves, just not paying for them, lol. 😄
@@AClassicBrick I think the reason why, is because there newer and not as collectible say Desert or Jungle. Plus some of the older sets have rare parts in them too so keep that in mine.
The Pulsar Charger was the first Lego set that was specifically mine. Sadly I destroyed the main vehicle piece over the years with heavy play and my teeth...I chewed all the studs off as well as the printed logo. Perhaps I was slightly too young for the set at the time? I don't know, even in my 30s I'm still actively suppressing the urge to chew and bite on things that are inappropriate to bite and chew on, just a bit frustrating in hindsight to look back at the really awesome toys I ruined at the ages of 3-10 with that habit out of control...
I used to buy small Lego boxes that was about $1 and a few cents. It was the cheapest I could buy but, I've collected so many of them. But they're gone now. 😭😭😭
Thanks! I think too often sets go unappreciated because they don’t have a high piece count or complex build techniques. But these were great for fleet building, and for kids who couldn’t afford the big sets. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
I had the Beacon Tracer. Well, two of them. The first one accidentally rolled into a campfire and got singed, but good. So I got a second one to replace the first one.
Soon, hopefully! I’m not doing separate retrospectives for Bluecoats and Redcoats, just all of the Pirate sets rolled into one retrospective, but I’m sure you’ll see some Redcoats when the M:Tron Retrospective is complete! Thanks for watching! 😎👍

It really sucks that Jamie never reviewed the Mega Core Magnetizer and the M-Tron Super Model
I don't know about you folks but I want to see more of these super cool LEGO review videos...
Oh man, when this wasn't in the playlist, I thought this series was abandoned. Happy surprise when it popped up in my recommendations!

Yes, definitely! That will be season 3 of the Adventurers Retrospective, followed by Orient Expedition in season 4.

How long does it usually take to make a video like this? Btw: the pulsar charger looks a bit like the spaceship from the Bennys space squad set.
