Fantastic elements were increased twofold by your wonderful arrangement. The clear ring of a bell makes me feel the mysterious and fantasy. Wondeful, Rebecca-chan!! (=^_^)b
RebeccaETripp By the way, I uploaded an uncomplete song yesterday. That is made from the story I heard from you. Talk of seagulls taking a ship and coming to your town. (^_^)
Yeah, Memoria definitely inspired this arrangement! I'll be doing a cover of that eventually. Thanks for you comment. ^_^ I really appreciate the feedback.
OMG! I love what you did with this one!!! The beggining reminds me sooo much of "Memoria/Place of memory" from FF9, which leads me to say that if you did a cover of this song too, it would surely be as amazing as this one ;)
This is what a remix should be. Removed enough from the original while simultaneously asking 'why the heck wasn't this the original?!'. Particularly like the string work dancing and weaving and supporting the melody. Excellent :)
one of my favorites from this game that I still listen to this day I love what you have done with it here it sounds amazing with the whole orchestral touch rounding out the soundscape it just sounds so lush I love it
This music was awesome as it always made me feel in a way afraid to be there, it created this sense of fear, it worked so well for the Tomb of the Unknown King and Centra excavation site, off topic for a moment but you did this song great justice, well done
Blue Fields and breezy are both on my phone, listen to them daily, many an hour was spent on the world map of FFVIII so blue fields rang in my ears throughout school and as opposed to it being an annoyance I took to it and till this day whistle the tune at work. Breezy immediately reminds me of Balamb town
The first song I decided to learn by heart on piano, if that says anything. Well done. The contrasting sections you added, not sure if I like them or not, but it definitely sets its own flavour to the mix.
Thanks a lot! There will be more of this kind coming. ^_^ Memoria from FF9, Chasing the Black Caped Man, lots of Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger themes. Hehe.
Soooo good! :D I always loved hearing the original pieces remade from midi (or however they were made) to arrangements like this. It adds even more beauty to it hearing an orchestra perform the piece. Great job!
I'm having a live orchestra play my work soon, as it happens! ^_^ If you want to see the performance, there will be a livestream! facebook.com/events/174216413297453/?active_tab=about There's the event in case you're curious!
This is one of the most spiritual songs ever made. The maze where you can listen to this song is just a parable of real life hidden quest. You will see. The first time you enter the mace, you are lost, you don’t know where you are, you don’t know what to do, you just continue walking in the shadows, seeking for answers. Meanwhile you are making experience, you make money, you get stronger, in short, you make a lot of material gains. But inside, you know that you are missing something, that the real quest it’s not yet complete, and that you are going to continue walking in the darkness until you finish it. How do you know that? Because you are listening to this song, you are a spiritual bean, and you are listening to your own spirit that makes you keep looking for the center of the mace. Sometimes you get tired, sometimes you want to get out of the mace, but you are stuck here until you complete your mission. Nevertheless your spiritual part is young, eternal, unalterable, tireless so the external world cannot affect it. In fact you are always going to have always the same feelings when you are listening to this. It brings you the memory, the will to keep fighting, to find your way out of this world, to leave this agony, to become one with your spirit, become immortal and reclaim your place among the gods. By the way, I believe that Final Fantasy was made to wake up people. Their plots and songs are very deep, and when you are playing it you are getting an ancient knowledge even if you don't notice it. I hope that everything is clear, English is not my mother tongue.
I LOVE this particular track from FF8 and this is such a great remix. The image you used is great as well, what is that ? it looks beautiful and somewhat weird actually.
It looks these parts of the game are particular... I think we often find in our memory of vgm an emotion lost. When the memory is that we are lost in the game it makes something like a mirror effect, as the memory is reversed... I love this music theme and your version :) Also it reminds me the Place of Memories of FFIX...
Do you take requests? Can you do a remix of the elemental stars from Golden sun? Have you played that game? It has a large cult following partly due to its beautiful music. Love your work.
This is my first exclusively FF8 Cover so far!

Wondeful, Rebecca-chan!! (=^_^)b
I'm very glad you liked it, Kentar-kun!
RebeccaETripp By the way, I uploaded an uncomplete song yesterday. That is made from the story I heard from you. Talk of seagulls taking a ship and coming to your town. (^_^)
I can't stop listening to this. You made this ominous song extremely beautiful and mystical
Yeah, Memoria definitely inspired this arrangement! I'll be doing a cover of that eventually. Thanks for you comment. ^_^ I really appreciate the feedback.
I remember this music whilst on my way to fight ifrit for the first time... Christmas day when I received this game as a child
Such a great rendition of one of my favorite dungeon themes!
Thanks a lot!
You've made a very lovely rendition of that theme, this is one of my favorite from VIII :)
Same. ^_^ It's a lovely one! Thanks!
OMG! I love what you did with this one!!! The beggining reminds me sooo much of "Memoria/Place of memory" from FF9, which leads me to say that if you did a cover of this song too, it would surely be as amazing as this one ;)
Thanks! I was definitely thinking of Memoria when I did this one, and Memoria is definitely on the list!

I'm glad you noticed. :) Thanks!
This is one of the best FF8 songs to me other than Balamb Garden or Timber Owls honestly. You did WELL!
Those are my favourites in FF8 as well (along with The Castle and Breezy). You should check out my FF8 medley! ^_^

Thanks a lot! There will be more of this kind coming. ^_^ Memoria from FF9, Chasing the Black Caped Man, lots of Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger themes. Hehe.

It seems that you understand Uematsu's work very well. He is one of the most inspired philosophical composers out there.
nice work!
Thank you very much!
Woh. It's the best cover of this song I've heard :o
I LOVE this particular track from FF8 and this is such a great remix. The image you used is great as well, what is that ? it looks beautiful and somewhat weird actually.
It's a frozen cave! :D It looks like a real life FF environment and it goes with the song.
RebeccaETripp Okay, I found more pics based on "frozen cave" similar to this, really cool!
Such a mysterious and beautiful song
I know, right!?
Incredible

beautiful ;)

I'm a gigantic fan of Golden Sun (especially for the music) so this would be fun to do. I can add it to the list. Thank you, by the way!
RebeccaETripp subscribed :)
Elemental Stars indeed is a beautiful track :) Saldy Golden Sun hasn't gotten some love from the remixing scene :/
Very interesting version
How can I get a download? This is by far the best remake of this song I have heard yet!
Wow! Thank you so much! :D Here's a link I put up just for you. rebeccatripp.bandcamp.com/track/find-your-way
Ik I'm late but this is fire
When will we have the pleasure of a making of for those arrangements? greetings
Combinación entre memoria ff9 y find your way ff8
Oooh, how many Hours did I hear that in the Game? I dont know. But your Version is a little bit better than the Ingame Version ;-)
Really? I'm so pleased to hear that. Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback.
this picture is like an eye trap poster to me
Nice one!
Now if you do anytime Eyes on Me sang by yourself I'll die happy! ^_^
I did that. :3 It's at the end of my FF8 medley.
RebeccaETripp
