    • @markmeister2444
      @markmeister2444 4 года назад

      Yep 4 6 volt batteries and positive ground on the old Mack's. You can't even get 6 volt batteries at the Mack dealer anymore. Few years ago a person I used to haul for sent one of his employees to the Mack dealer to buy new batteries and they gave him 4 12 volt batteries instead of 6 volt batteries boy you should have heard that RD turn over. You'll want to get a throttle return spring on the fuel pump because the motor will run away on you if you don't.

      Either or you can get a soaked rag with gas and have the engine sniff it and it'll run on gas fumes my dad did that on an old Detroit 60 series and the truck hasn't started for 5 years so he remove the charge pipe that connects to the turbo or from the intercooler onto the intake and got a rag that was soaking Gas just made make sure you squeeze out the the excess gas and then have someone in the truck to start it and have it sniffed the gas into the intake just be careful because it could also backfire through the intake oh and it's because he didn't not have starter fluid to start the truck

    • @yepitsme2536

      It is the correct type for the Mack in The Road Warrior (Mad Max) though

    Oh man one of those old Macks, flat black, red frame, dual chrome stacks and the sound of that engine on straight pipes slamming through the gears, shooting flames out the stacks, rolling coal🥴

    i wonder if a b-series cab and frint clip would fit on this. If i'm not mistaken, the R is based on the same chassis. I think they might have sold the R cab and stuff as an upgrade. Kind of like the White construcktor upgrade to Autocars.

    That maxidine would look awesome with custom paint some aluminum wheels polished aluminum round tanks and a West coast bumper. Buy that truck .it would be an investment. And of course twin 8 inch stacks with flappers.

      You're trolling, right? He would buy everything you listed before ever mechanically fixing this to run well and safely. Dont encourage him. We are trying to get Bruce to make more adult like decisions. That has been his M.O. on every other build and we have yet to see a finished project. Dont troll the troll.

      It's a given that he would make sure the bulldog is road Worthy before adding all the play pretties at least I would hope so. it only makes sense. I'm sure he's learned from both of the corn binders. He did pretty good on the freight shaker.

    Bruce, you will be on top of your game if you restore this Mack for your dad's friend. He is good to you and gives you parts (such as drive shafts). This would probably make his millenia. You would prove yourself a master if you could do it. It is my challenge to you.
