Stripe refuses to cancel subscriptions when the users cancel them.
This is why in a lot of countries you cannot buy a Midjourney subscription, because of all the illegal charges the banks block the transacations now, and it will soon be the same for Leonardo AI as well.
I will never support a company that uses stripe because they keep taking money even after you cancel, it's called stealing and no amount of propaganda is going to convince me or my bank to ever trust that company again
If you want to destroy your company, use stripe as a payment processor

You think that percentage Stripe charges, what was it, 2.8%, for doing nothing but acting as a middleman is reasonable? You work for Stripe? Seems to me they are like Sun Microsystems was to small businesses, a way to make money doing for smalls what bigger players like IBM did for bigs. Stripe isn't a startup. They are an established company now and have been for many years. For some reason people keep calling tech companies startups even though they are past this stage. At least Google isn't called a startup any more.

As a developer I can tell you, if they ever IPO, BUY THE HELL OUT OF IT.
Please change the graph at 0:27. The visuals show stripe dominating while it is 0.2% lower. You place your viewers on a wrong footing.
Having implemented stripe, paypal and mastercard in the past, I'd definitely recommend stripe to my peers.

Unfortunately Stripe become too big for small businesses. I mean that if anything goes wrong, it's super hard to get quick answer from their support because they do now have any account supervisors etc but can close your account for being "too risky" in just one second and ruin it

2.9% + 30cents per transaction seems ridiculous to me, in germany we pay nothing for most transactions, paypal for instance is extremly popular in germany due to 0 transaction cost for consumers
