When Neely said, you know we are more than that. What comes to mind, that saying. That's without even having to say.

The "Old Timer" is doing what we called back in the day as "Making Conversation". This is how we used to get to know one another, we talked, not all this typing behind a screen shit, like I am now doing. Not like we are face to face like they were. I hope if there is a Season 3, Joe is part of it, back before the timeline of Season 1.

I’m a huge book fan and I’ve really enjoyed these two seasons. Lee Child obviously is ensuring Reacher stays true to his books and it shows in the characters and stories. Both seasons are very different but if you read this series, you’ll know that every book is very different as well. I have a few favorite books out of the lot but I’m truly not fussy. I’ll take any story for season 3…as long as it’s entertaining 😁
I think non-book fans are taking longer to get used to Reacher and his wacky ways plus getting used to a new setting and new characters every season but that’s just how it is with these books and I think the show runners have done a great job adapting this series to the little screen.

Can't wait to see what book they chose for season 3.

Great reaction Anna like always, love this series, and as fan of the books i notice something that most people that dont know the books realizes. Throughout both seasons, Neagley has avoided physical contact with other characters, notably breaking her no-touching rule when Russo dies in this season (episode 6). In the books, Neagley has Haptephobia - a fear of being touched that Reacher himself reveals came from her younger years. This explains why Reacher and Neagley extend their hands without actually making contact during this season 2 closing moments, but, once again, the true meaning digs deeper into both characters. The underlying strength of Reacher's bond with Neagley lies in how both characters respect boundaries. Reacher respects Neagley's aversion to physical touch, while Neagley respects Reacher's unusual lifestyle and aversion to showing emotion. As the duo reach out their hands, a cushion of air remaining between their palms at all times, the imagery symbolizes this mutual understanding that makes up the foundation of Reacher and Neagley's unconventional friendship. They may not necessarily relate to each other's boundaries, but both characters respect that those boundaries exist. Keep up the good work.

Oh, I also wanted to add how much I appreciated the sound track. The fight scene between Reacher and Langston had a very pronounced "Terminator 2" theme to it. and ending with Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" was also really good. Its funny how little southern rock is in American entertainment. (Southern Rock = Tom Petty, Georgia Satellites, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blueberry Smoke ... Too many country acts to count) Its like this whole genre of music is ignored by Hollywood.

I liked it, though I felt like season 1 was stronger. I was expecting betrayal within the ranks or the return of Swan, but this all made sense, too.

With the dead dog, I knew Swan was dead... It was the major flaw in his idiot plan - nobody hits the big jackpot score - skips town, leaving the dog locked in the bathroom...Even a psychopath would treat his dog better than that.

Only Reacher's Homeland ties can eliminate the middle man.

Loved all the reactions with you this season. Thank you so much.
I think we better strap in next season. Strongly suspect they're gonna take one of the books where Reacher is just dropped into a nightmare situation, as a lone wolf. There are a few of those. Gone Tomorrow would be my choice. Best, scariest villains of all the books. And its two women. Its awesome.
Yeah, so satisfied with the season. It was all Reacher Justice, as you pointed out. Exactly what I wanted. They're turning this show into the TV equivalent of the books - something you just dive into on holiday for a good time, where you don't want to wsste energy wondering about the morality of the world, or the inherent entropy in the universe. Screw that! Gimme guys getting tossed from choppers and a badass firing squad! Yes, please!

Your reaction was very close to my own. I feel the changes from the book were fine for me.

You are right, Reacher has no more family left, BUT in the books he goes back in time sometimes, and there's a book where his dead brother is a main character, even his mom is on there.
Also Neagley will appear eventually again in one or two books.
It depends on how they choose to write the tv series. Finlay wasn't supposed to appear anymore and he did. Russo wasn't supposed to die either.
In the books Reacher moves from town to town and never comes back. He also will have other romantic relationships, that don't last over that book.
Funny thing that Neagley holds Russo's hand when he died ( another change on the original) Russo don't die and Neagley the only one ever she touches on the books is Reacher, when saying goodbye on a scene like that one here. She go and hug Reacher briefly before parting ways.

A lot of the flashbacks from season one are from other books outside of killing floor

The helicopter showdown was more realistic in the book, but the outcome was the same.

I have also been wondering where they'll go with season 3. I'm kinda hoping it's a random place with no strong ties. Just Reacher finding a problem and then justice lol we shall see

The final episode was all kinds of convenient. Could've used a couple more episodes to get more clever instead of bullrushing it, I think.

It was a good time. Not a long time. I prefer season 1 to this one... I would rather have the mystery over battle of wits. Too many flashbacks, I would rather the characters cover their history in dialogue rather than re-enactment of an old case... It builds the relationship as well as the history... What does your writer instinct say, about that?
I think the whole helicopter thing - which you described as sadistic - was to buy time, the Homeland Security back up plan was running late. Even if Reacher was really going to let them live, no way the senator's clean up crew would allow that...
Some say season 3 will be based on the book "Trip Wire" set in Florida or "61 Hours" set in winter South Dakota.... Tripwire also happens to be the 3rd Reacher novel... Novel #3 for Season #3?

I greatly disliked their decision to kill Russo. It almost ruined the episode for me. If I had read the books and known Russo lived I would have been even more angry.
And another thing I dislike about the show that may be true to the books, I don't know, is their decision to let the evil people do really really terrible horrible stuff and then get quick easy deaths.
We follow the bodies of the good guys all the way down from the chopper to the ground but we didn't do that with the main evil guy.
Setting those aside, I feel like they're drifting from the real character which my friend has told me about from the books.
I felt like the acting wasn't as good in general and that may be the writing or direction.
I give this season a 7 where as I gave the first season a 10.
