Hey everybody, this is a long overdue update but it really needs to be brought up. Many of you are aware of the Generation 5 timers that will be required starting in September of 2021. The current records will also be frozen starting around the same time with the new equipment coming in, meaning that these records will not count starting in September. Even though the video will be irrelevant in a few months, I'm still going to keep it up. I want this to be a video that people can look back and reflect on the times from the past. I don't want a lot of people commenting on this video saying it's gonna be irrelevant soon, because I know it will be, but I'm not taking this video down, and I want to keep it up as a form of cup stacking nostalgia for so many people. Hopefully you guys will understand. Moral of the story is that I'm not taking this video down even though it's gonna be completely irrelevant in a few months.
You remember getting 2nd behind me in everything at southern regionals in 2016? For 11-12 male that was 5 years ago I was 12 back then and now in august this year in 2021 i'm gonna turn 18 wow time flies!
Heyo, sorry if you've gotten 2 or 3 hidden/under-review comments that appear to be the same thing haha - I was just trying to send you some links to footage of Nathan Johnson's and Sarina Wang's first tournament 5s from 2016 and 2017 respectively, but I only just remembered that YT often auto-censors any comments with links in them. Hope you got the memo - great video anyway!
Thank you! I really just went off of what I could find on RUclips, that's great that you have tournament footage of some of the stackers that I missed, and yeah, RUclips is trying to hide comments with links in them.
Thank you! Yeah I'm sure that was probably the case with Jamie, however, it didn't show up on the WSSA website. I pretty much solely went off of the WSSA leaderboards page and just figured out when all of them were, and it's pretty likely that I could have missed him.

@@TheARStack because there was no SOC lol they just did stack out
Wait, for real? I thought they still had one
@@TheARStack you turn 18 in July? You're only 1 month older than me! We're pretty close in age
@@TheARStack they did in 2019 that was the last time they had southern regionals in mesquite Texas

Great Video, but I am pretty sure Chan Keng Ian got a 5 before the one that is shown, I saw a video that had it

@@TheARStack ohh that's completely understandable, the video still turned out really well :))
you missed william's 5.83 after chandlers 5.83 in 2012
William’s 5.83 wasn’t his first five, his 5.86 was
I think Tyler Hollis’s first 5 was in 2016
His first five in tournament was in 2015, the video I included was from 2016.
Nice vid
i was third, tylers was 2012
Yup, it was in 2012. I didn't notice that error in the video, thank you for telling me!
Wow, I'm 86th.
