I had misinformation that Jay was not very approachable in his Olympia days. I can't believe those opinions are accurate, after meeting him a couple times and watching these vids. I bet the detractors were labeling Jay's intensity and drive as an attitude, to make up for their own shortcomings. The amount of humbling shit jobs he endured with laser focus to get where he is, it is testament to his drive and how much character it required to travel that road. As for competing...Jay, you did your bit and stood at the mountain top, slipped and forced your way back again. You have nothing to prove. I'd say train for fun and longevity like you're doing and keep promoting the best parts of the sport and pass on the knowledge. Don't envy you own past, just embrace the fact that Mass Monsters never die, they just return to above average! Thanks for the videos, there's a lot of inspiration and wisdom coming through.

I’ve said it for years, after Jay stopped competing bodybuilding just hasn’t been the same. I miss those days as I’m sure most of us do.
I like the current bodybuilding scene. There are a lot of characters and great physiques around. I actually wasn't paying attention to bodybuilding much when Jay and Ronnie were ruling the sport.

I loved the format of this video. Walking and talking.
My motivation in the gym is 60% just lifting for the sake of lifting. The expectation, the struggle and the psychological reward after the lifting. 20% functional goals, and 20% physique goals.
Longevity is key. I'd prefer seeing you many more years lifting and having fun rather than turning into a monster for a couple months then become wrecked and injured for the rest of your life. I prefer a light that shines brightly and steadily rather than a short-lived firecracker.
There is NO Ironman anymore. Jay is just trolling us! Lol.

I had a 69 Chevelle SS396 in the mid 70’s. My Wife’s Father had a car in NJ in the 70’s. It had a hole in the back. He used to drive the family out to see her brothers at The University of Texas El Paso and he hated to stop for anything except gas so they had to pee in the hole ! LMAO 🤣

All of you saying can’t wait of jay compete again, you do realize Jey would need to start taking a lot of gear to bring him back to that size/ weight? After all the recent losses and tragedies what would be the point! Jay accomplished all, no point in adding more stress to your body.

Rich people have a weird perspective of money. They can’t afford to give an employee a .50 cent raise but won’t think twice on spending $100 plus thousand on a car for themselves. They compartmentalize on what is good and bad money spent. And usually what is good is on themselves.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas Nevada back in 1968. The price has gone up in Nevada because many have moved from California, which in short-term will increase the housing value. Sadly they will vote for the same policies that increased the taxes making so you'll have to move.out to another state.
