  • Marcus and Alex answer open-line questions from the audience. Alex was 16 when he met Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Years later he founded a Pentecostal Holiness congregation in Michigan. His journey to the Catholic Church began with a Bible study with his people. He asked them if they would like to worship God as they did in the early Church. When they said yes, he began to research the history or worship and discover the early Church Fathers, such as St. Ignatius of Antioch. Teaching his congregation his discoveries, they all studied their way into the Catholic Church. At the Easter Vigil of 2001, Alex and 64 people of his former congregation were received into full-communion with the Catholic Church. Alex is now Deacon Alex Jones having been ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2005.
