Yeah but when is it gonna stop when you're thinking about it like that? Picture yourself buying the exact same weapon a murderer would to commit such crimes. Do you wanna be the next mass murderer? I mean the chance of having an encounter with someone like that is generally small and what are the odds you'd be carrying something like that around at the right place and the right time? Are you just planning on walking around with that all the time? While there are people with malicious intent, there's already a lot more crazy people out there than full fledged mass murderers alone, and while I'm not trying to justify their actions who says that they don't feel like they're the same sort of hero in their story just like how you'd describe yourself. And I get that the possibility of someone else having a gun is threatening and I'll have to give it to you that thankfully I come from a country where we have no gun control but honestly I think it would be better if things like this were not to happen in the first place. If necessary I'm all for engaging in hand to hand combat and unless we're talking about war resorting to any use of weapons seems cowardly to me. It would save a lot of lives and even offer a chance for people to still make something out of their lives if they'd get knocked out instead of having their life be taken away at the glimpse of an eye, and that goes for both parties. I'm not saying no one should use guns, but with great power does come great responsibility, and you shouldn't underestimate that. I mean, I can say from my own experiences in life that I would be too crazy to use something like that and even if I weren't crazy I wouldn't even know what to use it for except to kill other crazy people.

Breaking down further, there are more children that die from the barbaric practice of circumcision than people being killed by madmen with an AR15. But no one cares do they? The media doesn't show you where most of the violence is because they only care when upper class white kids are shot at... at a school with the security of a single sheet of paper..... while the IRS buildings are protected by guys with submachine guns.

aj gta wasn't intended for kids, and it doesn't promote guns. It's just for entertainment. The way I see it is that its just a way for people to let lose and do all of the things you've seen in your favorite movies/TV shows without causing any real harm, and yes kids do play it although they/some shouldn't be because certain ages are still developing their rights from wrongs. (this coming from a what i consider to be a mature teenager) and if you are easily influenced by such you shouldn't be owning a game like gta. it all comes down to the maturity of the kid and the decision of the parents whether they are old enough to handle it or not. Cause it's people who can't handle it and can't make the right decisions who eventual do something stupid which ultimately gives firearms a bad rep.
