Germany spent well over 20 billion euros trying to assimilate refugees who were largely illiterate, uneducated, unskilled and too old to adapt to such a drastically different culture. This meant young taxpayers were stuck footing the bill, while the extra people pushed up the cost of housing. As a result, a lot of skilled Germans have been abandoning Germany. It is in crisis, perhaps because, aside from relying on cheap energy they no longer have, they failed to focus on innovation, progress, and diversification. In the automotive sector, they have fallen behind China, the USA, and South Korea, and they lack other sources of income.
Add the rejection of cheap and affordable energy from nuclear power and the VW subsidizes that went on for like 60 years making them dependent on gov funds...
Plus they took on too many migrants from a complex background to produce that “workforce” efficiently. First off, a good percent were originally taken in during the crisis in Syria, many of them likely have a very different mindset that their homes were crumbled thanks to the west, so expect them to have loyalty to a western country is strike 1. Then there’s the issue of contrast in culture priorities, the west and especially Germany have waned with religion that it has created a vacuum for a religion that doesn’t mingle well with other cultures and religions (many have tried to work on this but they seem to be dominated by the authoritarian sect of that religion) to over dominant the country with these migrants imposing their values and beliefs onto the German citizens. Strike 2. And of course the bureaucracy and red tape in every system possible is impossible for the actual eager immigrant of any background to assimilate more efficiently. I hear stories how immigrants who moved to Germany wait for months for papers to pass through to allow these people to get a job. On top of that, it has stifled immigrants other basics like learning Germany more quickly, likely cause the Germans took on a lot of various types of immigrants they didn’t plan ahead to accommodate so many different scenarios like if some of these immigrants or migrants have access to a class to learn more. And if there are migrants or immigrants from a limited background of knowledge, they then have to catch up with the training required for some of these jobs, and that is again a lot of red tape. Strike 3. This was an idea the Germans likely looked at the US and thought that immigration could solve their problems too and obviously they didn’t study the matter more seriously how the US evolved effectively over the years to adapt to taking on so many immigrants while giving them the chance to show what their capabilities were to help build the country. There was a huge disregard in the importance of assimilating, too many to be frank thought it’s cruel to expect people in a new country to adjust to adapt in their new community, and they wanted to exercise their tolerance by adapting to these immigrants. This has resulted in Germany most especially (cause it was their brilliant plan to take on too many migrants without discussing other Europeans their thoughts on the matter) to face the consequences such as the rise of crime, the rise of corruption, the economy worsens, finances straining, the citizens are overwhelmed constantly being berated by these immigrants of how to live their lives, and the growing suppression to fight back. This country has the worst habit of sabotaging themselves. It’s one thing to make mistakes, it’s another to disregard any information to make wise decisions.
German here. Just to clarify a few points. The paper was not in short supply. The manufacturers said so themselves after the Federal Election Commissioner claimed that it was. And even if they had, Poland had offered to help us with it. In the meantime, it is assumed that this was just a move by Scholz and the SPD, as some criminal offences will expire on 1 January 2025 and Scholz was or is involved in the CumEx scandal etc. and will therefore go unpunished. That is why they tried to prolong this as much as possible. On natural gas. Putin didn't stop the gas, the EU didn't want to take any more gas because people in the West somehow imagined that they had to help one of the most corrupt states. But that's not even the main problem. In the meantime, all the nuclear power plants that were still running were switched off. And brand new coal-fired power stations, which don't even emit CO2 because it is pumped into the ground, were also demolished. It was all the fault of the Greens and the rest went along with it. And it looks like the CDU will appoint Merz as the next chancellor and he will then probably also join forces with the Greens. So nothing will change. They will simply carry on as before. Honestly? The country is finished. If I wasn't caring for my sick mother, I would probably have packed my bags and emigrated by now at the latest.
I think it's interesting that only US media pick up on that paper shortage claim. Everyone knows it's for two reasons, 1. Is tactical to prepare for candidate placement, 2. Is to avoid people getting mad, because they would be pissed if they have to vote in the stressy time right before christmas every four years.

Cantillon Effect, named after 18th century French economist Richard Cantillon, who was an inspiration to Adam Smith. A clarification for those who want additional details.
All of Europe (except possibly Great Britain and to a lesser degree, France) stands to crumble because somebody hit on the brain dead idea of creating one currency (the Euro) for a wide range of countries with different populations and different economic and political objectives. One currency works for 50 states in the US because there's far more binding the states together and populations are mobile enough that they go to where the jobs are, generally. If California is sinking (and it is) people move to Texas and Florida, where you can find most of the same basic things and people who speak the same language. For years, the Bundesbank has wielded power in Europe to expand or contract currency supplies. And the French have disproportionally been screwed by this. One country may have an overheating economy and need to pump the brakes with rising interest rates. Another might be in a slump at the same time and need to expand the supply of money temporarily. Woe unto the country who gets stuck in the opposite position as Germany. Back in the day that there were things like exchange rates between the Mark and the Franc (or any other European currency), the relative increase or decrease in the value of somebody's currency would automatically correct for this. And then you have Greece, where nobody wants to work, he just wants to bang on the drum all day. Germany will bail Greece out in order to keep it in the EU fold, but at a fairly high price to itself. Basically, Germany is using monetary power instead of military power with the same goal it had in 1939-1945: Domination of the continent. The French have been smart enough to embrace nuclear power, so from an energy standpoint, they're not as completely screwed as the Germans. They just have their own immigration problems that stem from collective guilt about having been a colonial power. The Brits are in a better position because they never gave up their currency and recently they decided that they'd like their Brexited country back, thank you very much.

I don't know that "letting the market decide" works for governments. For example, if it's their job to provide water, but the market says less water and higher prices is better, that's unacceptable. Similarly, raising the price of water for citizens to reduce usage so that a company can bottle and sell more water is also unacceptable. Provide the water (or roads, or power, or garbage collection, or whatever) that you promised. That's it.
Until somebody can make money providing you water for cheaper. But the government should regulate to make sure the water is clean, and businesses don't collude or have a monopoly on selling water. When there is open, fair competition consumers win.
A free market, without monopolies, will always strive to identify and serve the desires of the people because peoples behaviors are not coerced and the ability to create and provide goods and services is universal. That market will always be competitive (especially for natural resources like water). So for "the market" to say that water is not necessary or prices should be high, that would mean that the people didn't want water or had a better substitute. Otherwise, high prices and high demand is a business opportunity for competition to take over the market with lower prices.

Just got back in May after living there for 13 years with my German hubby in tow. We just barely skid to home base. The economy has been failing badly there for years. Like all western countries, they never fully recovered after COVID, but then it went down hill steadily from there with the cost of living skyrocketing, yet the wages weren't keeping up. Similarly, UK has been going through it too. Meanwhile, the AFD is rising higher than it has ever before in parliament because of similar factors happening all across UK, Europe and here in the U.S. Germans will take it in stride and get through it but they are notoriously very slow and resistant to any change, always bogged down by incompetence and bureaucracy. I think the UK will have it harder, longer in the long run.
I wonder do the German people feel that their government represents them. Like us in the US, or the UK, or several other places? Anybody else catching the trend?
We Germany have only on choice to end this. AfD and no we are not Nazis. Its the same with Trump and the media, calling him a Fasc. and a nazi. The media is a powerful weapon, and a lot of people are brainwashed.
Quick answer. The Greens are in government in the coalition. Just do the exact opposite of what the greens want and prosperity and environmental repair will occur.
How do corporations benefit from high inflation??? You just said that VW is looking to leave Germany. What does the private sector have to do with money printing???
We've had a good run, which started with market-liberal reforms in 2005 by the social democrats. The conservatives reaped the benefits which held Merkel in office for 16 years. Her government failed to invest in the countries infrastructure and increased dependency on Russian gas and exports to China. The current government failed to correct those mistakes fast enough, now it's back to square one. We'll be alright though, our elites don't have to live in gated communities either, we're actually a broadly middle class society, where you can meet anyone in the local pub.

It is in crisis, perhaps because, aside from relying on cheap energy they no longer have, they failed to focus on innovation, progress, and diversification. In the automotive sector, they have fallen behind China, the USA, and South Korea, and they lack other sources of income.
exactly
Add the rejection of cheap and affordable energy from nuclear power and the VW subsidizes that went on for like 60 years making them dependent on gov funds...
So like a spoiled kid kicking back in their parents house 😂😂😂😂😂
It seems common citizens across the globe all share the same problem.
Who needs paper ballots when you can just show up with a USB stick with all the votes you'll need? 😉
The economy is not crumbling...it is just moving to somewhere else (quote by the german minster of economy Robert Habeck from the green party. His background is being a author of fairy tail books for children...no kidding)
Remember it was the Germans who invented the term "Schadenfreunde"
"Freude" (joy); nicht "Freunde" (friends)... although the rampant importation of people from "diverse" cultures could make it somewhat valid. 😄
One correction - Germany cut off its own gas supply from Russia via sanctions. And then the US blew up Nord stream, sealing the deal.
The US or Ukraine with the US' help.
May i (as a german) quote two renowned politicians = 1) Konrad Adenauer (first german Chancelor after the war 1949 - 1963): Alles, was die Sozialisten vom Geld verstehen, ist die Tatsache, daß sie es von anderen haben wollen. (All socialists understand about money is that they want it from others.) 2) Margaret Thatcher (first female british prime minister 1979-1990) "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"
I guess Germany doesn't care who destroyed the North Stream. Why is that? Maybe somebody too influential did that...
One word: Northstream
German economy is dependent on cheap energy from Russia. By denying Germany that it is facing collapse. It is the same reason why Japan grew so desperate after the US embargo against them in 1940
Germany decided to not buy any more from Russia. Now they buy the Russian gas from intermediaries. Because they are smart.
Great video. Can you explain why the UK is losing its free speech? Also just what the heck is going on there in general?
That shit is wild. They’re locking up old people and young people alike for nothing. Meanwhile immigrants running wild
Yeah, I’m worried for the Brits atm 😞
Australia lost that a long time ago
I've lived in Germany, "Dunkelflaute" sums it up. Reality vs. Ideology
as a german; i agree with this video. Ps. one day after the electoral officer came up woth this joke of "we don't have paper", the paper industry said we do have enought paper.
They will learn nothing from this and double down on their mistakes.
You would think Germany would have learned its lesson about Democratic Socialism. Perhaps not.
Germans: *Ah Nein Herr Wē Go Again!*
Because we Germans are still "Untertanen" and let it happen that a "elite" who desires prestige and good reputation drove our country to the wall! I hope I can get out of here in time, but difficult due to health!
Yeah we are made sick. Manipulated.
I don't think Russia shut the gas off until last week to Austria
This after banning an opposition party. ='[.]'=
Wich opposing party got banned?
@@Sege370 I think they did or are trying to ban the AdF. ='[.]'=
@@Raycheetahthere is a proposal to ban the AfD yes. It came from a few people from different parties.
It‘s because a few „wings“/departments of the AfD got declared extreme far right/hostile to the constitution.
But nothing has been decided yet.
@@Sege370 Ah, thank you for the clarification. =^[.]^=
@@Sege370 It's because they threaten the status quo. No other reason really. Every country is corrupt and filled with degenerates, Germany is no different.
Can’t wait till you cover Javier milei’s free market policies are working. Textbook example of letting the market correct itself.
I’m so rooting for Milei, was a big fan the moment he came to the spotlight as his policies closely matched my own. Everyone looks to how we Americans electing Trump gave them hope, but honestly those of us who have paid attention got a little reinvigorated when Milei got in, he too has fought his fight and is proving his method works. Hopefully it will work for us shortly soon 🤞
Short term pain. And debt can't be denominated in a foreign currency.
The paper shortage excuse was debunked within minutes by Germany's paper industry. Like many industries in Germany, they are pretty efficient...
Get rid of von der layen in the EU
We thought Idiocracy was the model to replicate!
Germany should have just borrowed paper from the federal reserve.
Cantillon Effect, named after 18th century French economist Richard Cantillon, who was an inspiration to Adam Smith. A clarification for those who want additional details.
Poland has forests.
👍
Great analysis.
America got Trump, Germany get socialism. And forget everythink you,ve known about this dying country.
There are mass layoffs in the Automobile sector and service sector rigth now.
Poland offered the paper immediately.
The Brits are in a better position because they never gave up their currency and recently they decided that they'd like their Brexited country back, thank you very much.
we are such good exporters that we even export our money
Go woke go broke
I read a quote from the CEO of a German paper company and he said "we have enough paper."
Angela M. destroyed Germany
Biggest problems are taxes, pensions and energy cost
So basically, Weimar Germany all over again... we all know how well that turned out.
The greens
*Reaction, Reaction, Reaction!* React to WWII; React to USSR; React to combining East and West Germany; _The list goes on._
*_Anyone who reacts is giving their ability to choose to whatever they are reacting to. In most cases this means swinging to the opposite extreme of whatever they are reacting to._*
*Responding, on the other hand, is actively choosing what, if anything, to do in regards to whatever happened.*
Our countries have been subverted for a long time, I'd love to take them back.
Moral of the story: let the free market decide.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless" -Thomas Jefferson
Thanks again Nick!
They'll double down.
Good thing that economy does not mean living well-being. Russia has higher GDP but living conditions are awful.
Blackrock
They have socialism. Nationally. Wait, that seems familiar...
HI
hey
Can't wait to see your full triggeronmetry episodes
Their car industry is falling apart, and that's a major part of their economy.
Demographics... too few younger people working, partying, spending and fucking. Older people more easing into retirement
Excellent!
The head of Germany's paper industry stated there is enough paper for elections, and doesn't know where this "shortage" idea came from.
You're doing God's work.
Wind and solar can NEVER replace coal, gas, and nuclear. These are laws of physics and limitations of natural resources.
The moustachioed fella is rolling in his grave.
When your government is too central to your economy, you probably shouldn't use an unstable form of government like the parliamentary system.
How ironic, "Papieren bitte" . . .
Have the people vote on money, and governments never have an issue printing endless cash.
Sounds like the Democratic Party in the U.S.
It is excaclly the same. AfD is just like trump.
What does this sound like
Ideological hubris is the major part of their many problems! Such insanity is not sustainable in the short run - never mind the long run!
Tuck in your tails, fellows, and do something right for a change. Not for yourself, but for the citizens of your country.
Wealth does net create cheap abundant energy. Cheap abundant energy creates wealth!!
AfD!
Sounds kinda like New York.
Too many uneducated employees in higher positions. German industry does not have to pay attention to the origin of the employee when it comes to leading positions. Germany is not competitive in many areas.
Everbody serves as an example, of something.
People say China collapse since 20s, while German speedrun before China
I wonder who’s in a worse position? Germany or Japan?
Germany
Japan has been in this economic crisis for 30 years and have gotten used to it by now
I’m curious cause I see so many videos popping up talking about how bad Germany has become. Even though Germany just overtook Japan to become the 3rd largest economy in the world. That’s why I’m a bit skeptical about all these videos about Germany. There’s not as many videos talking about how bad the Japan situation are compared Germany popping up in my feed recently.
Sort of like here in the U.S. ..........
My guess is government arrogance and stupidity, but there might be karma involved as well.
0.1 percent.....contraction.....is this really significant....
