I made 3 of the small bags today. I used scuba fabric and a thin layer of batting. The only thing that was confusing was the final step of adding the lining. Flip the hoop over and put the lining face down. I cut it wider and pinned it to the stabilizer in 4 places. Also, if you quilt the back, you will have to take your time when you sew it to the front. Make sure your placement is lined up just right or you will have a gap in the seam lining up. Just my suggestions. The bags are beautiful and stitch out really well. Thank you!
Outstanding video. I've read the instructions but was glad to see there was also a video for this design and the bags are so pretty too!! Just to let you know when you try to click on the links in your instructions you get a 404 error code.
Beautiful!! Thanks for the informative video! I do have a question -- if you wanted to monogram the front. could you? AT what step would you monogram? Would you monogram the front piece before you actually create the bag and just have the quilting go over the monogram?
I was hoping to see the inside of the bag to see if it was only lined on one side as mine turned out. I think it was correct as it only calls for one (1) piece of lining when I cut the fabric. Hence, only one side of my bag was lined inside. ???
Have you tried this design on vinyl.? I have one on the machine now with vinyl both sides but it keeps breaking needles. I will be taking it off and replacing the back with fabric and see how that goes zoom.
Is there anywhere to show me what size to cut the fabric for each bag size? The video says it’s in the PDF but they only had fabric sizes for the 5x7. I don’t want to waste fabric by cutting it too large. I’m planning to do the smallest bag first as a test run to see which color thread I want to use.
Isn't there a full design for the quilting on the back? It has a space for the zipper : \ which doesn't look great on the back, especially if you use contrasting thread.
I used a large hoop so the hoop wont come in the way of the camera but stitched the 5x7 bag - i have a brother innovis xv and largest hoop is 9.5x14” in size - the bags you can make in even the 4x4 hoop - i included 9 sizes
Ann Marie guess its personal preference, I love 505 Spray and use it more often than not, as it prevents fabric from slipping, the tape don't always hold the fabric especially if you use a stretch or polyester base fabric, so in this case I use 505 spray primarily.
Tshirt fabric! Terrific idea. Thanks so much, Daleen. Love this!

There is a back included - it has little circle quilting pattern where the zip is on the front
If using scuba fabric do you still fold over or just abut scuba next to zip?

What size of hoop are you using, what machine? Looks so much biger than mine
Looks like the Brother XV1 machine and the 9” x14” hoop???

Pragtig, soos altyd
Omg the spray..just use paper tape.
