Too simple, thank you. I have been trying to bring my site up to current SEO Standards and the 404 page is one of the factors and I had code that worked as far as functionality but the SEO audits didn't recognize it, therefore telling me I needed a 404 page. Thanks alot!

bro not working in my local host is it there any setting needs to be configured

Yeah that's basically true. It took me a long time to notice that u were not an American...
My only Danish is 'Din fa elsker dig' (roughly dean far elska die) which means 'Your Father loves you'; also my father loves me; finally 'hello' and 'goodbye' ('hi' and 'hi hi'!) :)

Just figured out it. It's case sensitive I had error.html in the access file but the fike was Error.html

The person who ran the website before me has created a 404.hml page and it works but I can't find the .htaccess file you are referring to. Oh well 🤨. Thanks for the heads up though because i had no idea how it was working.

You should send a http Header with it. Google something thinks its a soft 404 or only a redirect.

Νιψκ That scary icon is there because I don't use my website for handling sensitive data and because I am not trying to boost my website SEO ranking :) but yes a SSL certificate tutorial would be an idea later in this course. At the moment a SSL lesson would only confuse newer web devs that are watching this course, and since they haven't learned how to create dynamic websites yet it wouldn't benefit them much. SSL is primarily used when handling sensitive user data.

Great and to the point tutorial as usual. I have a question, ErrorDocument 404 works fine as long as the "not found" page name is written directly after the www.mydomain.com/ however when i do the same after any existing page then nothing actually happens, simply the correct page still showing !!! for ex. if I try www.mydomain.com/existpage.php/jshdjfhlfas then still existpage.php is still showing .. any idea why ??

Good idea for a lesson #33 since I already went into the .htaccess file in this video :) I don't want to get too much into the .htaccess file too early in this course, but this is a pretty good and simple thing to create. So why not :)

it's a linux thing. Linux doesn't do file extensions like windows. it is a plain text file, but it is not a .txt file

Sir i created a 404 page in which i have relative path of all the css and js file.
Now it is working fine when some page that not exist with www.example.com/something
but its css and js is not working with "www.example.com/admin/something" due to relative path. Can you tell me how can i solve this problem without changing relative path

try using www.netlify.com you can host your website using github and it is free
