Yes you can put laser on it and you can use small Pringles container :)
Instead of ping pong ball you can use BB bullets but those are way small :)

HOW TO MAKE A COOL CORN/MAIS SHOOTER:
here in the Netherlands we have ''tietenschieters'' wich literaly means boobieshooters :D.
How to make it:
1. get a thin pvc pipe, get some tape and get a balloon.
2. cut for about 10 centimeters off of the pipe.
3. pull the balloon for 3 centimeters over the pipe.
4. tape it so its stuck.
5. get some corn grains.
6. put one of them in the pipe so it goes into the balloon, pull the balloon, and shoot!
WARNING: DON'T SHOOT AT PEOPLE OR ANIMALS 'CAUSE ITS VERY DANGEROUS! IF YOU GET ONE OF THE GRAINS IN YOUR EYE YOU WILL BE BLIND!!!
