Could a person silver weld the cap or the curve of a silver early 1900 Gentleman‘s walking walking stick? It has a hole the size of a dime could that be replaced? What would something like that cost if it were possible?Liked your video and added.
What exactly is it that might cause a ring to.. "SPLIT"..... like the one shown in the video? I have only owned 2 rings in my life,..(one gold, one silver).... both of them split. What am I doing wrong?
Sometimes it can be down to the fact the shank has worn thin and reached its breaking point, this ring was cut intentionally. So it was probably stuck around someones finger and needed removing and so cut the thinnest part on the shank.
UINVEST IN A CHEAP BENCH POLISHER MY FRIEND ITS WELL WORTH IT. IT YOU USE THE PROPER PADS AND CHEAT ERT OR POLISH OR WHAT EVER PEOPLE WANT TO CALL IT ROGH WHAT EVER IT WILL GIVE THAT RING A MIRROR POLISH.
Great video! Short, sweet, and to the point. I am now fixing a sterling silver ring for my little girl. Thank you!
Ya, I have a funny feeling my repair isn’t gonna go anything like this 😂 but that won’t stop me 🙌🏻💯
How'd it go?
I love watching broken things get fixed? Want to repair my soul?
Hmmm, there are some repairs even I can't fix
@@natecharleswatches well said m8
Are you ok?
@@janetteocegueda4785 yeah, it's just a dark joke
There is no mention of what material he used to close the ring, I am assuming silver. Also, where would one buy the material?
Live watching repairs, thanks for sharing!
You're welcome :)
the middle of my silver ring split but then the right side of the band broke so I was wondering if you could do a video on fixing something like that
Do you have to use a specific type of silver to mend the ring? Or could I just use some old broken jewelry
You’ll need a specific solder. It’ll contain silver but melts at a lower temperature

What if the sliver ring has a black onyx stone?
What does someone charge for a very thin crack in a sterling silver ring band??
How do you make a signet ring from pre-made signet ring blanks? How do you get rid of the fold bump?

Do you need to use flux?
