    Tier 3 has raised platforms is stylish but not effective in general. I just finished research t3 town hall.
    I also have a few suggestions im holding onto rn in my list.
    1. We should be able to set up which food is allowed for workers to eat or prioritise eating. They almost always eat the best food in storage and theyre hard to make. They dont need those food buffs anyway unless i need them for combat.
    2. Workers with a shield or bow when they go hunting will drop their shield/bow and leave it there without equipping them back after working. Or farming with hoe or shovel for mud. One day u just see them without their shields.
    3. Sometimes (even if its not full yet) workers will drop items in a storage that are already filtered out. Theres not a single day that i dont manually reorganize them. Its a mess.
    4. There needs to be a toggle to turn on/off delivery on workstations. I was prepping my materials for mutiple research and the workers kept on putting them back to storage. Same with workbenches.
    5. Assigning a worker to guard will stop patrolling when its hungry and will need to grab food. That makes sense. The problem is, after eating, the guard returns to back to being a worker.
    6. Btw, same with setting up foods to allow workers to eat first. We should also be able to set up hunters camp where they must only use simple arrows. One time i saw 1 camp had bronze arrows in there. I was flabbergasted when i found out. I use those for the brigands and theyre using it to hunt birds smh.
    7. Yes, same issue with the tools/weapon repairs. Heres what i think, we should be able to set up workstations to start repairing tools/weapons when they reach a certain durability (a slider). For example, we can set it so when a tool/weapon reaches 20% durability or lower, the workers will collect those tools/weapons for repair.
    8. The speed debuff of armor should be less punishing, its too real for a very grindy game with no mounts. OR remove that debuff and instead have weight encumberance mechanic. Idk just throwing it out there, but the speed debuff is real and ive seen players managing their base naked because they run faster without it. Something is just not right.
    9. We should be able to rename our main base and outpost anytime we want. The way to do it rn is to delete the settlement entirely and make a new one and then reassigning buildings again.
    10. Cooking with wood. This is serious for me. Yes wood is somewhat infinite but please workers, dont put 4 woods just to cook 1 food ur wasting so much wood. Just have 1/1 wood for every cooking facility and not 1/4 so workers dont waste 3 more woods everytime they cook. Same with peats and furnace.
    11. We all had this issue i bet, smoked foods. Workers smoked meats and then leave them there for too long it produced burnt meats. Worse part is they cook meats and then they go to sleep. I have 3 dedicated cooks in my base and they still couldnt do their job right.
    12. Foraging same issue. I had to close those dryer racks in foraging hut because workers WILL ALWAYS, always put berries and mushrooms to dry when i need those for berry jams and mushroom stews.
    13. Can we also have filter settings for weapon racks. I sometimes want this rack for farming tools and the other for carpentry and weapons. Right now its whatever and wherever it is im sure its somewhere.
    14. I think everyone wants this to happen. We need trees to grow back. At least those tree stumps we see should grow back into trees for workers to cut it again. Its a shame to see this once lush forest is now an empty land.
    15. Guard posts are kinda useless. At first i thought a guard will stand post there once i build it but nope. It looks more like a decoration than a basic watchtower.
    16. Lastly the progression, sometimes theres this sense of progressing in the game, "not a smooth ride". Idk, maybe its too grindy or something. Surely that village hall T2 took a lot of time building.

      those are some good suggestions, i agree with pretty much everything you said :) the food priority would probably make the biggest difference, if we could tell not just all the workers but specific workers what to eat, like XP+ food for hunters so they level archery faster, and not to eat all the combat food when working in the village!

    Mostly the fence will stop the bandits and others from using the bridge. But I have found sound can walk under deep water and some can walk through fences, Am sure it must be a bug but is amusing and frustrating as well.

      I put this to the test and confirm they stand there staring at the river for a while before taking the plunge...at best it will slow them down, but also might be easier to just not do the fence bc you will carried away with other task and look at map and they are almost to farnsworth

      I saw it happen. I also fenced that bridge to farnworth coz its so close from their base. 1 brigand glitched into the riverbed and started walking to the other side. Ive seen enemies glitch out of walls and fences a lot of times. It happens i just take it and deal with it.

    Right click to equip / eat food, and left click to unequip is faster than dragging. :) Yeah getting them to repair tools sucks, so I have dedicated NPCs for each job (No more burned food with a dedicated cook haha). Makes things easier. So I have dedicated fighters only, workers only, specialists only, archers only, guards only, etc. I use beggars just for delivery haha make them work instead of begging for coins in towns LOL Even tho they have the slacker trait.. it gets the job done, so my other NPCs can do their jobs. Also, keeping the workers NPC stations on Top Off keeps things in inventory, even if sometimes they are idle due to no supplies, then I reorganize to get them what they are lacking. This game is too fun!!! Cant wait to see what comes.. Easily going to put 1000+ hrs into it over the next few years. I dislike bushes/tree stubs not being removed also... haha I have to fence off those areas for aesthetics. I hope they add like mules, or horses to move around your army, and goods, and yourself. Good video I watched in entirety, and gave a like.

    • @TheIslandFarmer321
      @TheIslandFarmer321  6 месяцев назад +1

      ah thanks i figured their was a hotkey for the food, kept forgetting to try and figure that out lol.
      i'll try to specialize my workers more, i did dedicated hunters and farmers for right now. i guess some cooks would be a good idea. does the delivery option just move items from storage to storage and workbenches? i assumed that had to do with outpost deliveries. i might try to buy some beggars depending on the cost, seems like everyone is 5k+ now so i try to buy only people with 4+ strength so they can at least hold a weapon and shield.
      Thanks man ill try to keep making videos!

    • @iBeJHill
      @iBeJHill 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheIslandFarmer321 Yes the delivery only option makes them move items to the right location. Storage, and even bags, or resources left on the ground. I just usually have a stockpile next to a fast travel at my base. Turn it off, so no NPC uses it, and turn off all receivables for the stockpile. So when I dump anything and everything in it, eventually my beggars will move it to the correct location in my base. I also do this with resources too near my base.. leaving logs or dropped items on the ground, and they eventually get to that and move it to the correct spots, also they will even remove food if they have time from burning if my cooks are occupied.
      Outpost deliveries are automatic at midnight. and you only can receive 20 items per person at your base, so if you wanted 100 of something from an outpost and requested a delivery, but you only have 4 people at you location, you would only be delivered 80 of that resource.
      Go to different towns, usually if you have not more than 3 from a town they are cheaper to recruit at that town. Once you hit 3 from the same time you get a De-buff on your NPCs if you check that. Its a lot of min maxing, but if you have the Renown it gets easier.

      @@iBeJHill awesome i set all my vills to specific jobs now, they already seem to be doing a better job. and yeah i was planning on putting a storage right next to my teleport post and turning everything off for it!
      i was wondering how the midnight deliveries worked, seemed like i got random amounts but i guess that makes sense now.
      I have 42 vills now, so ive over done the 3 per town debuff quite a bit lol. Do you know anything about expelling old npcs for renown? some of my original npcs are work almost 6k now and their skills suck. i was thinking about replacing them for npcs with strenght so they could at least hold a shield...

    • @iBeJHill
      @iBeJHill 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheIslandFarmer321 When you expel an NPC and when you teardown travel post you get the renown back. You can check on the NPC screen where you can make them Worker, Companion, or Guard its like in the middle right section of that screen I believe how much renown you will get back. Don't worry you can always hire them again in the town you found them if you want them back. But get rid the ones you don't want, and its nice to get back renown for letting them go.

    My opinion comes five months after you posted so I w9uldnt be surprised if there's been a lot of updates and changes but it sounds like a lot of your complaints come from you trying to personally build/craft everything yourself. The game wasn't intended to be played that way in my opinion. I was struggling with the grind until I came to the realization that villager management is 1000000000000 times more efficient. I can't even remember the last time/thing I crafted/built/researched anything. Probably was a stockpile though because it's quick and easy for quick outpost building. I'm fully t2 now. I'll he seeing soon how the t3 stuff is.

    This game is so grindy it took me 120+ hours to finally be able to get to tier 3. I also understand most people's frustration of being stuck on tier 1 for a prolong period of time because it's difficult liberating the first village when you start out with nothing and you get stomped by the Brigands because you have tier 1 armors and weapons.

    marching armies are quite easy, just build barn to where your armies destination in between where they march from, make it 2 barn, stock the barn with high quality food like fine meat stew & fine meat roast with smoked fish so each 1/3 way your soldiers will get fed or if theyre still full you can stock them with plenty of foods stocking up on each barn you pass thru. but 1st youve gotta clear easy bandit camp to be able to build those barns & make thoese barns a new outpost every single one of them plus dont assign people there bc bandits will not raid them or if they do just put up a fence that circling the barn make it impossible to be looted, easy :)

    i think building tier 3 is impossible! i kinda want to move to a more southern location but at the same time I don't want to spend dayssss trying to set up for it. my tier 2 location will not be able to accomodate tier 3 buildings and at the same time I don't want to be at the north as it will be impossible to defend reclamation and do quests. my question is. do I really need to have tier 3 buildings in order to play the quests? for example, can I do the prison quest with max tier 2 armor and weapons ? (I have 23 fighters). if yes, then I will not bother building tier 3. if no, then what is the best option to do it?

    • @187g
      @187g 6 месяцев назад +1

      the whole thing seems impossible whilst defending 3 librated towns. if I have to build a new tier 3 settlement I think I will need to give up the librated towns and focus on just building without having to worry about fighting or doing quests. i am also thinking of disabling all of my other outposts after accumulating resources to prevent raids or just disable raids for a while.

    • @TheIslandFarmer321
      @TheIslandFarmer321  6 месяцев назад +1

      i feel like the tier 3 collection builds are garbage as well as the bakery and windmill. so if you maybe just prioritize, there's 3 buildings for weapons and armor. one makes the bow and shield, one makes steel weapons, and one makes steel armor. the steel armor is crazy expensive and the weapons seem to make the most difference but need 5-6 strenght for your vills to use. the shield is also 6 strenght. the bow is 5 agility and theres swords/daggers for 5-6 agility also. those are your most important buildings ( youll need the charcoal burner and steel furnace which construct much faster than the other buildings.)
      I wont lie when i built my tier 3 town it was a nightmare to transition, i set up a few tier 1 things to start but it took a long time to complete it, maybe 50-75 days and you need a lot of food outposts to support a lot of villagers also iron outposts for steel. the armor also takes a lot of bronze so tin and copper outposts.
      if you have enough villagers in good tier 2 armor/weapons with great HP food you can probably beat the game. the hp food and combat food makes the biggest difference

    • @187g
      @187g 6 месяцев назад

      @@TheIslandFarmer321 makes sense, i only have few companions with strength over 5 and agility over 5. therefore, tier 3 building wont offer much. i might just build the town hall in my current location to keep it quick and build the few other buildings that will benefit me and my few other companions, and then rely on numbers and max tier 2 stuff to beat the game.
      TBH i dont mind grinding a bit but I am not into constantly grinding and farming brigands and bandits for renowns, books and money.
      i think I will give up haerndean, padstow and Bradford for now as they are pretty much useless xd, then librate a town that offers a labourer and an innkeeper then give it up as well so that I don't have to worry about the need to constantly move my troops across the map.
      You mentioned that you need the trades but I imagine you are grinding tier 3 stuff. i don't think I will need the trades for tier 2. I have good iron, bronze, and tin production and storage. Will just do the quests and beat the game.

    • @187g
      @187g 6 месяцев назад

      there is one other option to avoid headaches while setting up new location. Disable raids, give up librated towns, and then move 2-3 workers to new location with equipment, set up a stockpile for food and material and then rely on deliveries from your main settlement. check what each building needs, set up delivery, and work on getting resources from your main base. then once your tier 3 is set, you can move your army to it and start working on the remaining quests that involve the lower half of the map. a bit grindy but chill

    • @FengXinFengWanren
      @FengXinFengWanren 5 месяцев назад

      keep some of tier 2 buildings around & disassemble the rest of tier 1 & tier 2 buildings then replace them with tier 3 buildings but never change location of your settlements. its tedious ofcourse but its all worth it all the way to the end game.

Different foods last for different amounts of time, dried berries and smoked fish reduce how quickly people get hungry too, suggest you eat something like a Hearty Meat Stew (Full for 8 hours) then Fish Stew (Full for 7 hours) and finally either dried berries or smoked fish - you wont get hungry for a full day and night.
