Balloonology: Mira Costa Percussion Study at TEDxManhattanBeach

Students from Mira Costa High School Percussion Studio perform "Balloonology" by Chris Crockarell. Mira Costa's award-winning music program includes an extra-curricular Percussion Studio during spring semester. The participating students prepare both serious and not-so-serious pieces for performance in concert.
Casey and Brittany are high school seniors, Steven is a junior, and Matt and Maddie are sophomores. Each participates in both concert ensembles and in marching band, in addition to percussion ensembles. Brittany spent last summer as a member of the DCI team Pacific Crest.
"Balloonology" was composed by Chris Crockarell. Mr. Crockarell is known for composing percussion pieces featuring everyday items used as instruments. Mira Costa often performs from Mr. Crockarell's oevre. It makes you want to see the sheet music, doesn't it? www.RowLoff.com
