I must be crazy colleague, I owned one from 94 to 99 and now after all those years I just bough one on e-bay yesterday for 3250€! This one without monitoring tape, two heads drum only but how my interest on this recorder is not to use it as it, well, I hope the seller is trusty, he is a professional and German, ha ha. They have a reputation for being serious people in general but... I screwed it when I sold mine, shit!
Heard from a Sony technician that the 57es-and ZA5es which I owned have not good tape-transports. the mechanism is in his opinion weeker. He repaired for me a 2000-es 4head black version, the DAC's in the 2000-es are better, so the sound, it's great. even I think that the 55-es is better in my opinion. I record to 55-es by my computer, with optical cable, Flac's at 48 kHz, so I can tackle SCMS. (can't get a SCMS 'killer' in the 2000, but for 55-es it's possibke_) But I'm satisfied with it.

наверное, ВЧ сильно задраны. Я уже не слышу частоты больше 16 кГц, но даже в этом видео ВЧ для меня немного многовато.
