Thundereggs are formed in rhyolitic volcanic ash and can be filled with agate. jasper, opal or other minerals, so not fulgurites.
How do you decide where to start cutting?
Sometimes there are pressure ridges that give me an idea which way to cut, other times there are non and I just go for it.
