I guess it just gets outshined by more popular songs from OK Computer. I think this, Subterran Homesick Alien and Electioneering are the unsung heroes of that album
This is sublime... who'd have thought 23 years ago they'd still be able to play this with such pitch perfect raw emotion... Thom and Ed harmonizing together is stunning. They should do it more.
Just rewatched the 97 version, and it's such an absolute blast to see how they've evolved, yet stayed the same amazing band.. And Jonny still uses his Starcaster!
Absolutely masterful performance of an absolute masterpiece. When Pure Emotion and perfectionism collide and combine into something completely on its own
for all those people that says real music ended after the seventies, not even in bob dylan's wildest dream he could make something like this. 90's 00's, not that bad, at all, bro.
The change of dynamics on this song it's so breathtaking. Since the first listen to OK Computer I felt this song was peak Radiohead. Of course they proved me a lot of peaks were to come, but this is the best closer of them and I'm talking about a band that have Street Spirit and True Love Waits closing their records.
This song has been my favourite since I heard it back in 2022. I wish I could see one of their concerts, but I'm very young and wasn't around back when they used to be live a lot. I hope one day I can hear this song at a concert!
Still one of their greatest songs off their greatest album, what a STUNNING performance, Thom went all-out on this one, along with the rest of the band.
If this song had come along during college days of the mid 80's...there would have been a huge rise of unplanned pregnancies on campuses across America.
It barks at no one else But me Like it's seen A ghost I guess it's seen the sparks A-flowin' No one else Would know Hey man, slow down Slow down Idiot, slow down Slow down Sometimes I get overcharged That's when you See sparks They ask me where the hell I'm going? At a thousand feet per second Hey man, slow down Slow down Idiot, slow down Slow down Hey man, slow down Slow down Idiot, slow down Slow down

Next time you are at a gig - just watch it and engage with the performers in a meaningful way and not via a phone. - If they want a detailed video of themselves with shoddy audio, I'm sure they'll put it out themselves.
the way you step is shoddy! so maybe next time theres a gig would you consider going instead of adding to my beautiful monetization? you could engage meaningful with the band, instead of my coveted name amongst the worldwide radiohea_d community.
I don't know why this song is rarely mentioned among their best ones. It's absolutely precious!
Agreed. Haunting !!

Thanks for the extreme closeup of Thom's face in 4K....I always wanted to count his nose hairs individually
Rename the song The Butler (pull nose hair down)

He actually does it more accurately live than then. His voice was super shaky in the late 90s live sometimes

No, this is Radiohead
One of their most emotional and beautiful performances of The Tourist !
I'm soooo proud of all this Comments! I love Radiohead and i love you Everyone in here.
Love you too for liking radiohead. ❤️

yes! love everything here
Thanks for showing Jonny during the solo- this is his song, after all! 😉
R is like a pack of bikers , it's all theirs equally , and don't make them come down there for you
Ed's backing vocals is such beauty.
He has such good control over his vocals 😭
He can't hit that high note like he used to but his falsetto technique is so good that it doesn't even matter lol
@@glasscesar9861 yeah the way he used to practically scream those high notes is incredible.
he doesn't, he is singing from his nose which is bad in every way
@@glasscesar9861I think he can easily hit them, but he’s saving his voice for other songs/shows. Recovery isn’t as easy the older you get
Vocals are up to preference or based on style of music. In more traditional styles, you’re absolutely right, but here, it’s up to preference.
Their best closer.
Or videotape?
A Wolf at the Door?
It’s tied with Wolf for me but all of their closers are fucking epic.

this is right there with pink floyd, now that I think about it. not bad, at all. not bad.
Thoms guitar part in this is brilliant. That slow burn , bass note feedback is just brilliant
I woke up today with this song in my head 🤷🏽♀️ so here I am
What a beautiful experience that was! I’ll never forget that feeling. I cried. Gorgeous and unexpected

0:34 I thought Thom was about to hit a sick dab
I remember seeing this at Live a the 10 Spot in 1997 and his voice was so crystalline!
I hope I see this live someday. Radiohead shows are such beautiful experiences.
He envejecidos con ellos... que nostalgia escuchar esta canción tan hermosa.
Just recently discovered these guy! Beautiful! I was raising kids in the 90s. Lol
So much to enjoy... brilliant B sides and side projects too. Hope your grown-up kids enjoy them as well! 😊
Can't believe this person was shooting video instead of grooving out in the moment. But, thanks.
i gave you a moment and what did you do?

Wow!! Breathing that much life and live into such a classic song from a classic as album is really beautiful to watch.

Holy good God... Amazing song...
What a great performance, I absolutely love the solo part, I could listen to this all day! It’s just amazing ❤️
The best performance I have ever seen!!!
I love this fucking song!!!!
Simply so "angelic", and so badly deep...
Still one of their greatest songs off their greatest album, what a STUNNING performance, Thom went all-out on this one, along with the rest of the band.
awesome
Great performance and great voice too... Love it, thanks for the upload
I like how he does the chorus in a low volume (like going a little down, not up) and at the end he sings it more powerfully.
God damn... How do they always manage to sound as though they're from the future?
Man, i fucking love Radiohead.
Indeed. Libretto & instrumentation 😘
Just so so beautiful ❤️

Melhor banda do mundo!
This song is almost too intimate to even perform in such a setting. A lot of OKC feels that way imo
Jonny G is the best to ever do it.
Ok Computer is a masterpiece next to Mona Lisa
