My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what its like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
I can see Aisha's gift shining in there. I cannot wait for her to open her gifts, she is such a grateful girl it makes me want to be more grateful in life.
Jasmine, I can say the cost of living in Ghana 🇬🇭 is very reasonable than most western countries (U.S., U.K, and others). But Ghanaians take our blessed country for granted. Our problem is we need to create more jobs and also help our people to create wealth( especially the Private sector).
Too expensive in the 🇺🇸. Ghanaians make too much noise and complain
Australia has a higher standard of living and GDP so you'd expect the cost of living to be higher relative to their economic standard. I'm mindful that social welfare is on hand to assist vulnerable Australians. You are referring to a poor third world country with no social welfare services to assist majority of citizens who live on less than $5 a day as taking the country for granted, sorry but on what planet do you spend most of your time?
@@glorianyarko8645 Another baseless and "let them eat cake insensitive" comment. Have you actually researched the ratio of the population who live below the bread line in Ghana compared to USA? Are you also aware that social welfare services are non existent in Ghana. So if one is jobless there, they'll either beg or starve! Further..USA has a life expectancy of over 80 years in 2022 compared to 65 for Ghana due to the obvious poverty and lower standards of living and you have the gall to say they complain. KMT!
@@browneyedbunny6707 I am sure they are not even living in Gh and or earning salaries/income in cedis, but they think Ghanaians are complaining too much. Wow!
@@gh_blaqsoap2846 Thank you, It is frightening how some of our fellow citizens are so untethered from the harsh life changing realities that affects the majority of impoverished Ghanaians.
The resemblance to your brother is uncanny.
The blood & bond is strong waa.
Bless up & Big up
🥰🥰
AS USUAL, I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR VLOGS. ITS INFORMATIVE, INTERESTING TO LISTEN TO, JUST GREAT 👍TO WATCH. NEVER BORING.

Aust is expensive but the best gauge is what your income is in each country. Gh is expensive compared to the the income the average Ghanaian earns. What we earn in Aust is a lot more than most in Gh. Tuesday was that at DFO. (discount factory outlet)?
Similar to dfo but this is in orange grove xx
So professional. Keep on with the good work. Can't afford to miss any of your videos ❤
Aw ❤️❤️
Nice to see you and your brother, Jasmine, together as siblings hanging out. Your brother is hilarious. He should hang and chill with you in Ghana for a month. 😂
Hey Jas, could you do a interview with your brother to get his perspective on growing up as a Black Man in Australia? As a Black Man from America I'm interested in hearing his experiences.
Will ask him ❤️
@@JasmineAmaa I've heard it's quite racist.
That's a very good topic to discuss.
@@myrtisallotey8928 it is very racist but my personal life is very comfortable. Having said that, it is not as racist as America.

@@JasmineAmaa You're Welcome ××
It's more expensive living here only those who live here can tell glad you did this video, most people think living in abroad is all glory hmm imagine just a week even some of the weeks you didn't spend and use your mum card too, beautiful vlog Jess 😊
Yesoo very expensive 💕
My dear there ain't even jobs in Ghana to earn money to even live a cheaper life. Most people can't afford 3 Square meal. More than 50% pensioners earn less than $100 and most middle class workers earn less than $500 a month with ever increase in prices of goods and services. Social interventions are almost non in existence.
It ain't easy for the lots of people in Ghana but what we do is to help ourselves...
@@JasmineAmaa I lived in Sydney Australia.
The costs of living in Australia is ridiculous nowadays.
Many people in Australia are now doing two jobs to pay their bills, and is taking toll from their health.
Now I want to relocate from Australia to Rwanda and some west Africa country to start a business.
I've been in Australia for awhile.
Now it's time for me to looking into somewhere else.
Have a good stay in Australia.
You never know we might meet someday in Ghana.
I will be in Ghana by March of 2023 for my East and West Africa countries tour for business survey 👌👍💯
Australia is one of the most expensive countries to live, you have to work really hard to keep up with the expenses. Grocery shopping you will realise a lot of things have gone up
Can definitely be expensive
Very true and well said I lived in Australia here I can attest to what you have said.
It's very very expensive to live in Australia here.
It's very difficult nowadays to save money 💸💰.

Gosh ! Sydney is such a beautiful place..i live in London but don't mind moving there.
Veryyy… u should visit 🥰
Jasmine , you taught me something today, Capsicum, a bell pepper as we call it in US. Capsicum, interesting.
Omg it so expensive living in Australia. I from Chicago in the States and I like amazing on the price you spend on all the items about. Some things you buy in Ghana are cheap compared to their place
I lived in Sydney Australia.
Australia is very very expensive to live compared to the USA.
Let me give you an example here.
A Ford F150 Pickup in the USA will cost about $50.000 Australian dollars.
But here in Australia the same Ford F150 Pickup will cost you more than $200.000 Australian dollars.
USA is much much cheaper to live than Australia.

It seems like this is more like a vacation/holiday spending because I'm sure you wouldn't be spending that much money if you were living permanently in Australia.
I would hope not. too much spent on clothes.
U r right x
hi Jasmine love the video and all the outfits and u r looking well too? Ashley Australia?
Thanks Ashley
Thank you for the video :)

In Australia like many other country got price stability. As for Ghana prices changes every 1 hour!
Uncle Ato, when Ghanaians start patronizing our made in Ghana 🇬🇭 products and stop importing most of the junks from foreign countries, prices of goods will be stabilized. We don't exchange our Cedis into $$ and import everything into the country.
Also remember that whatever America 🇺🇸 and Australia 🇦🇺 import into their country, they pay them with their own Dollars $$ a consume their own products more.
*correction * we should stop exchanging our currency into $$ to import junk stuff into the country.
Loooll .. i cant disagree about price changes in ghana 🤦♀️
I lived in Australia, prices of goods and services are not stable as well in Australia.
Australian dollars is one of the worst performance in the world.
Enjoy your time in Australia 😁💯💯
Thanks lovely 🥰
If you want to spend less in Ghana it's very easy. Avoid the Malls and hit the local markets

It is disingenuous for people to live in a country (Ghana) , earn a living in very strong currency (dollars) and claim that the cost of living is low in Ghana! Does the average Ghanaian find the cost of living to be low ?I know in Nigeria right now people are suffering ! I pay my driver in Nigeria $50/month which is on the high side for drivers and he is complaining !
The real joke is there are no wild animals in Africa .We live in a suburb of America and these are squirrels , deer , ground hogs, rabbits, foxes and wild geese running around all the time .They are fearless cos no one hunts them! The first time I took my kids to Nigeria they couldn't believe that there no wild animals, of any kind anywhere , there were more wild animals in our neighborhood in America !
Hmm

Ah so $1usd is to $5aud?
1usd to 1.54aud
