The settings on the stapler are for how many sheets of paper you’re using. The common way that points them in can staple maybe about 5-6 pages, but the other method is for 10-20 pages. 😊
The hole in the pen cap is so you can use it as a joint holder. I've never seen a hole in a lollypop stick, they're always just a rolled paper stick. Did they start making them plastic now?
Well there is actually a hole that most people don't use on the shoes that if you do something called a "runners tie" will keep your shoes much more snug and prevent the rubbing on the back of your heel.
Matthew Federici, I'm in the UK, ours start beeping a few seconds before it turns back to stop, warning people the lights are about to change so either don't start walking or speed up
Where I live in California, intersections that have the speakers beep going one direction (say, north/south) and chirp like birds going perpendicular (east/west), and a couple have a buzzer in the button housing that buzzes when the light changes.
Utility knife cap- breaks the old blade off Little hole between lense and flash on the iPhone- microphone (helps capture sound better when taking a video) Buttons on lids- there to help you figure out which drink is yours Beer bottle neck- designed to hold there Metal plate on stapler- rotate it to bend the staples outward Hole at the end of a lollipop stick- there so a little bit of candy can melt into the hole so it doesn't fall off the stick Disher scoop colors- refers to how many scoops it will take to fill of a 32 ounce cup Lids for takeout drinks- stop spilling and used as a coaster Hole in pen cap- if swallowed, it wouldn't stop you from breathing Traffic lights hidden dial- indication for deaf and blind people. The dial spins when the walkway is clear You're welcome!
Yes!!! I have got a stapeler like that! I can turn that thingy arround, hahaha! Never would have even guessed to try it. Now I will secretly turn every stapler I find in the homes and offices I visit. :D
Bryanbobber When you think of blind you will think of completely blind cannot see a thing people but blindness is much sophisticated that. you have levels and stages so yes these are a major necessity in everyday life for the blind. Even if you were completely blind and cannot see, ID much rather have a spinning indicator than a light :)
kwack so you say, that there are blind people who can spot this tiny cap under the traffic light more easily, than the lights on the traffic light. sorry but like... if you can find this cap it's very likely that you're able to see the colors on the traffic lights as well right?
fang Like I said on the levels of blindness, the most common blindness is where you can see the outlines of objects but then everything in that object is pretty black and grey. You don't look for a tiny cap, what you look for is a great big pole with a big fat crossing machine on it with the button, when you find that all you have to do is feel the bottom of it. it's not difficult at all
I immediately looked at my stapler and was amazed that there is indeed a small spring under the metal plate to press it up from the underside and turn it. Great ! Thanks for the information.
+no name (atomflunder2) I know. But what he was saying is that it is for deaf AND blind people as it can be used for either deaf OR blind people, which I don't think is true.
Connor Robertson If you're blind you can hear the beeping sound the crossing lights give of and indeed if you're deaf you can see the indication. If you're deaf AND blind however you will be able to do neither completely relying on your sense of touch and smell. Smell is tricky since people can be allergic to strong odors and wind could jeopardize its function too, leaving touch the only option and therefor inserting the spinning on the bottom of the crossing lights so people who are both deaf and blind can safely cross the road
Dr Pollywog it's made by HTC. it has the best camera (it actually challenged apple and won over 80 out of 100 users voted). it has other features that cannot be found in any other android including the Nexus lines. My favorite is the fingerprint sensor swipe up or swipe down features. you can program them to do certain things while unlocking with your finger up or down.
Here in Southern CA our pedestrian buttons vibrate, chirp, and have the visible countdown indicators. I love the vibration addition because there are many people with hearing problems and low to zero visibility but they have been taught independence. My favorite fact in this video is the stapler. Now I want to find one with that dial! That's definitely an added bonus that was unfortunately lost in translation over time.
Traffic light features for blind people are quite versatile. Around here they use a hidden button on the bottom of the button-case for regular pedestrians. The box produces a silent click-noise indicating whether it's green or red. When the button is pushed, the signal is boosted to be louder. The button also has a small bar on it, indicating the direction to go. I've seen other solution in other countries though.
Oh wow I always got told that the twisted bit on the traffic light is that if u twist it makes the traffic lights go green quicker so I would stand there spinning it for ages ._.
Aleena Jas -- I'd agree, as a deaf person wouldn't need it and a blind person couldn't hear it. They'd need some kind of beeping thing like Japan has on their crosswalks.
Please tell me everyone knew about the buttons on drink lids.. that is so self explanatory if no one caught it they should be dumped over a bridge. That would probably entertain them for five minutes too They also didnt mention the third stapling method where you open the think and drive the staple straight into something as you would a nail. Great for note boards
Thewatcher509 Ha! Sorry, I don't know what your referring to. What am I throwing out? Everybody knows what? Another fun fact you probably need to learn is people don't read minds. Incomplete comments are essentially useless without context. If your on about the third method of using a stapler I don't see what your problem is. They didnt mention it. And if you dont know what the LABELLED bottons on a fast food drink lid are for, your aren't good for much.
Khol and you kinda need to fix the ending of your sentence and don't be a smart add and come at me with that " oh what is this English class" type shit
Oh shit, I'm arguing with one of those... k seriously I'll give you one shot. What the fuck is your issue? What could possible have crawled so far up your dumb ass about my first comment? Did you take offence to my drink lid comment? Fuck your feelings! If you can't figure out a drink lid your really not that clever! They mentioned two methods of using a stapler. God forbid they forgot one! That was really the premise of the inisial comment too, questioning the validity of the video as basically eveything mentioned I had realized before i turned five. Wait, are you claiming to be a raging dumbass? Thats about the only type who could have found offence in my comment.
l dont know about the button vibrating as l dont normally keep my hand on it once pressed, so that will be something to investigate next time l am crossing a road at lights..but yeah, the beeping sound does change when it is safe to cross, just as long as drivers remember to obey road rules..
Actually, in America it varies. some towns have audible indicators (cuckoo sound for north/south crossing, chirping for east/west) while others have buttons that vibrate when the walk symbol is lit. Some have voice prompts
Actually, in Germany there are more versions, than that one you describe. There is an older version with a vibrating knob underneath the unit. If needed, you have to press this knob and it starts vibrating, when pedestrians have green light.
They are adding a new kind in the USA for the bind. They have a slow beep with brale on the plate, when you push the button it has an audible click then it talks and tells you which street it is and how many crossing there are. When it is time to cross it tells you how many lights turned red then to cross and counts down the time left.
Same in NZ. In Japan a lot of lights actually play an old folk tune while it's green, so as well as being an extra aid for regular people (and especially kids) I guess that also helps blind people. Not sure what features for those who are hearing impaired.
FYI, in Australia, there are large buttons at intersections which vibrate and beep every second, when the man is green however, the button vibrates constantly and the beeping speeds up. If you were blind, you would rest your hand in the button and when it buzzes rapidly, you know to walk!
Gaming Seaweed chill, I was saying it's different as in unique, I've never heard of that before it seems quite different than what I normally see and hear
Good video Sir. There will be some negative comments inevitably from people who knew about these things but there will be others who did not know until you taught them. Blessings and peace to you
Very hard for me. I thought it was an emergency ejector, like tey make for computer CD or floppy disk drives. Plus the mean microphone is not just a small hole.
I have one that maybe you haven't showcased yet... The single button slit on the lapel of a mans blazer or suit jacket is not meant for a corsage or flower as some might think. It's actually there from days past where men wore a fedora or other hat as part of their attire. The hats actually had a string and button attached to them rolled up in the hat so that you could unravel the string and then tether the button to the button hole in your lapel so when the wind blew your hat off you wouldn't lose it. I believe there's a manufacturer of hats in Chicago that still include the string and button as part of the hats they sell.
I saw a version of that dial in Florida, but it actually talked. would tell the intersection and let you know when it's safe to walk. the area had a few known blind people that say it is the best crossing signal ever!
"The lunch lady wears a hair net. Serves mashed potatoes with an ice cream scoop. Puts gravy on everything. She says, 'Bubble Tape is not part of a well-balance diet!'"
PROMOTOCK in the USA we have an annoying chirp that lets you know when you can cross. it sounds like a bird but more irritating. though they arnt everywhere yet.
In India you still need one good human being to help blind to cross road...And you find one always..!!👍👍 Many times you need experience to cross road even you are 100 percent fit ,☺
martyn_1 In most countries the lights have a clicking noise, so even not blind people can use that and look around and check on the general traffic and surroundings for safety, while waiting on green. In the UK there is no sound, and the green light is mounted at an impossible low place, often obstructed from view by other pedestrians, and impossible to keep an eye out around before crossing. Not so 'clever', university of Nottingham.
Dagemaster 786 you do this *_ hello *_ but don't do a space And it will look like _*__this_* or * hello * but no space so like this *hello and one on the end with out a space or this - same concept one on each end no space so there is - _ * and you can combine them for instance ***_- hello -_* no space between the - and h and the o and - by the way * is Bold _ is slant - is cross through no problem except a it took a little to type and get right have fun with it 😏
I work in an archive, and it took me ages to find out why some documents came down with the staples folded outward - I'd never heard of it before. (In archiving, you have to remove the staples from important documents before filing them, because they rust and leave ugly stains on the paper. Metal paperclips and bulldog clips have to go for the same reason).
fire hydrant color here tells the fire department whether the hydrant is privately serviced or is serviced by city ... if one is installed on private property it would be red ... if it was on city property it's yellow.
@@gameingwitharash8243 Not both. How the fuck could you breath through a hole that small you fucking idiot. If your throat closed up to the size of that hole you would die. Hahaha you think that tiny hole could fill your lungs up TWAT
#6 is also for the staff of fast food restaurants. It is very useful for keeping track which drink is which. When I was managing a McD, you typically had coke, and diet coke. Labels cola and diet were used respectively. Dr. Pepper was put under the "other" label and the other drinks like sprite was clear and others were colored. You didn't have to speak to anyone else to verify what drink was what. Generally speaking, the addition of the buttons was for the sake of convenience for both the consumer and seller.
Yep same here in Australia the cross walk makes a fast noise when it's safe to cross and a slower noise when it isn't. It also vibrates when it's safe to cross.
to add its probably worth noting that i the US it really depends on the city as there probably isn't a standard. My city has the audible ones that are usually among the newest ones installed in busy areas...and there are some areas with older units that don't do crap for the blind.
Here in Texas, the button will beep when pressed and if you hold the button it with tell you either wait to cross (street names) or now safe to cross (street names)
In the USA, street lights vary. In my town in Michigan, there's an audible change in the sound beeping/signal when it's safe to cross. It depends on where you live. I've never seen the spinning button here.
Kitterz G. here in north cal the button tells you "wait" everytime you press it and when its your right to walk its start vibrating. they are practically new. they have only been here for maybe 3 years
After watching this video, I immediately tried a couple of tips, and they worked! Thank you so much, now I want to try all of them except for the swallowing of the cap of a ballpoint pen.... I'll take your word for it.
Desperadox23 Yeah, I'm the narrator for that channel. Although now that I've watched this video all the way through it has a lot of things the Facts Verse video did not.
Stop blowing your own trumpet, I watch these videos so I don't have to listen to your damned irritating voice on Facts Verse. Your stupid accent gets right under my skin and I cannot bear to listen to you. At least this is in English rather than gormless American, so go back to your own channel and talk to yourself! BORE OFF!

I am "amazed" at how many people think the hole on a lollipop stick is for breathing through if the stick is swallowed. Obviously these people haven't looked at a plastic lollipop stick or understood what the guy was actually talking about. Hello people -- the sticks are HOLLOW for breathing through. He's not talking about the hollowness of the stick; he's talking about the actual HOLES on the SIDES of lollipop sticks, which are indeed there to help the candy attach to the stick better. If a lollipop stick does end up getting swallowed, there is no way the candy-attaching holes in the side of the stick could possibly work as breathing holes as the wall of the trachea would be blocking them. That is why the sticks are also HOLLOW.

the hole in a soda can (or any other can) opener (thing on the lid that opens the soda) is actually a straw holder

The spinning dial for the last thing is for deaf and blind people? Can't deaf people see the crossing lights?
blind AND deaf not blind OR deaf
+no name (atomflunder2) I know. But what he was saying is that it is for deaf AND blind people as it can be used for either deaf OR blind people, which I don't think is true.
Connor Robertson maybe they're not looking at the sign and watching out for cars instead. They would most likely touch the dial and not hear the noise
Connor Robertson If you're blind you can hear the beeping sound the crossing lights give of and indeed if you're deaf you can see the indication. What if they're deaf and blind? Most traffic lights beep when they are green and the knob is for people who can't use that or seing the green man.
There are also little devices that are vibrating when the traffic light is green.

Gaming Seaweed that's different

Gaming Seaweed chill, I was saying it's different as in unique, I've never heard of that before it seems quite different than what I normally see and hear
kwack oh ok
Gaming Seaweed same in new zealand
Good video Sir. There will be some negative comments inevitably from people who knew about these things but there will be others who did not know until you taught them. Blessings and peace to you
Kind of you! God bless.

I hope the iPhone mic was super obvious for everyone. It can't be that hard to assume it's a mic.
Edgar Martinez I actually thought it was some sort of sensor
RandomTuber yeah 😂😂
Well there are a lot of electronic gadgets that have a small hole which hides a reset button that you can push with a straightened paper clip or pin.
Very hard for me. I thought it was an emergency ejector, like tey make for computer CD or floppy disk drives. Plus the mean microphone is not just a small hole.
Edgar Martinez I knew it was a mic, and I knew it was for active noise cancellation, but I didn't know it also function for better sound quality
u live under a rock or in a cave if u dont know the stapler one

F0xx Nation -F3nnek- same

It is a requirement to use the pin staple rather than folded staples on some legal documents.

Ice cream scoop we're also used for mashed potatoes at ur school - remember that

I use ice cream scoops (the smaller ones) for watermelon balls
They’re called Disher Scoops not ice cream scoops. Because they’re used for more than ice cream

Number 8 with the little buttons on a lid !There labeled ! I don’t think anyone could not know that ?? That is defiantly not a unknown function !
I was thinking the same thing! It's common knowledge.
in germany the dial is replaced by a vibrating plate. We re livin in da future
Or of course the "Click......Click......Click......Click.....DOOOTDOOOTDOOOTDOOOTDOOOTDOOOT"
PROMOTOCK in the USA we have an annoying chirp that lets you know when you can cross. it sounds like a bird but more irritating. though they arnt everywhere yet.
MrViscious I'm in California and I have never seen or heard that. Sounds annoying 😋
We have nothing like that in Indiana it's just a round button and a light across the street
Mexico city has a chirping bird sound that tweets faster as the time runs out
Why does he sound like planet Dolan?😂
InxPursuitz he sounds nothing like him. Dolan is Australian this guy is British
Joe Kerr he sctuslly sound like Dolan
Nightfury oblivion yeah you're right lol
InxPursuitz his avatar looks like Danger Dolan too........
sorta.
In India you still need one good human being to help blind to cross road...And you find one always..!!👍👍 Many times you need experience to cross road even you are 100 percent fit ,☺
I thought it was common for stoplights to make an indicator noise for when the light is red or green.
martyn_1 In most countries the lights have a clicking noise, so even not blind people can use that and look around and check on the general traffic and surroundings for safety, while waiting on green.
In the UK there is no sound, and the green light is mounted at an impossible low place, often obstructed from view by other pedestrians, and impossible to keep an eye out around before crossing. Not so 'clever', university of Nottingham.
martyn_1 yes they do make a noise in the uk but not where there is another set of traffic lights/pedestrian crossing is close by for safety
in Australia, just above the buttton it vibrates when you can cross
EddyInTheSky don't worry than ... secret service will help you cross the street than ... unless ur not trump....
**shows a picture of an iPhone 7** and says "the headphone jack....."
ItzKiernan this made my day

7:31 in The Netherlands there is an tickering sound every 1 second and when the light almost goes to red you hear the sound really fast
and some newer systems have the same thing but with an counter so jo can see when it's going green but blind people can't see that so...
Mauriceje YT ja dat is echt heel handig voor mensen die doof zijn
Mauriceje YT after 10 it goes boom
ihab abdelmoeti die zijn weer niet blind en stel ze zijn beide dan zou je ook niet over straat kunnen lopen in je eentje
Ook in belgië
I work in an archive, and it took me ages to find out why some documents came down with the staples folded outward - I'd never heard of it before. (In archiving, you have to remove the staples from important documents before filing them, because they rust and leave ugly stains on the paper. Metal paperclips and bulldog clips have to go for the same reason).
Lucky to have more than 1 utility knife? You can buy 1 at Walmart for less than $0.35
Ooh, that's lucky
actually yes lucky... I always buy the packs which contain 4 or 5 and all of them disappear after a week :/
wall-e without fail the others are all with your relatives and friends or under the dryer
You don't even have to pay if you can run fast enough
Beverly Harrold nah they probably won't even care
Fire hydrants are painted different colors to tell the firemen the size of the water main they are connected to.
hes right yanno, good job gerald!😂
fire hydrant color here tells the fire department whether the hydrant is privately serviced or is serviced by city ... if one is installed on private property it would be red ... if it was on city property it's yellow.
I drive a truck and I had to go pick up a load of fire hydrants.
I couldn't park anywhere near the place.
Number 5 the hole is actualy for you to breath if you acidently swallow it
SeeRed Chanel no it’s for the lollipop to stick on when it is hardening. Otherwise it would just slide off.

The street light for the blind is different in Toronto Canada .
Derrick Ng
God how do comment all this
were I live people don't give a damn they don't push the buttons
The lids work good for ketchup as well.
shut up Derrick you sound stupid for real
The dial on the traffic light button that beeps when you can cross is here in Australia too
Nathan Beck ye
Nathan Beck in Canada it apologizes for rushing you.
Seth.p
Nathan Beck which city we don't have it in Melbourne
Nathan Beck but down under the dial spins in the opposite direction
Good Bits. US has audible crosswalks if compliant for the Blind otherwise better have a sighted friend with you.
The crosswalk buttons in the United States also vibrate as well.
Been using 1 for many years. It's useful for anybody in bright sunlight or when the light has failed.
In Australia, the traffic lights have a sound change when crossing is go. When red it beeps at a slow pace, then when green to walk it speeds up.
Rel1369 In the U.K. the crossing is silent when red, and then beeps when green,
The metal part near the button also vibrates.
Moneybagzsz my girl luvs those parts
Rel1369 yeah same in new zealand
Rel1369 I live In Australia and Yeah The Traffic Lights Are Like That I Just Wish They Had Timers for how long u have to cross
In the USA, street lights vary. In my town in Michigan, there's an audible change in the sound beeping/signal when it's safe to cross. It depends on where you live. I've never seen the spinning button here.
im in ohio no noise at all when its safe to cross most of the time you get maybe 5sec to cross
Kitterz G. here in north cal the button tells you "wait" everytime you press it and when its your right to walk its start vibrating. they are practically new. they have only been here for maybe 3 years
Kitterz G. In the U.K. there is no noise when unsafe but it starts to beep when safe
In Germany on some you can play an electronic game with people on the other side of the road while you wait :)

Actually the hole in the lollipop stick is to prevent choking as well. 😊
Like the pen cap
If you swallow a lollipop stick there is probably something wrong with you to be honest.
Anna Macra incorrect, most lollipops are filled in even there
Good luck getting enough air to live through a hole that size.
Yeah put it's hollow
In my experience, nobody EVER uses the drink lid buttons.
