@Ade It is only a king that can recognise a chief in his domain. Olu of Warri is the ONLY authority in Warri kingdom, and his word is final. It is also the same authority that Ooni has in Ile Ife. Olu cannot go to Ife and make any public statement that is how authority and overlordship of kingdoms work in monarchy all over the world.

Oni as the father of all Yoruba family leader, which includes Olu of Warri only came over and settled whatever that was going on between ologbotsere and the Olu. He came over and saw both of them, and that led to the settlement. So stop saying, he came just for Ologbotsere.

Warri has Ginuwa ruling house only, and they have the exclusive right in choosing a king. Itsekiri has Yoruba ancestry, but no one can decide for the ruling house who to choose as king.
I saw this coming long ago.. tradition will always supersede. The ways of our ancestors can’t be politicise some might try but there will be dire consequences.
I am a Ghanaian, and what Ooni of Ife did by recognising the disrobed Ologbotsere is in bad taste. By so doing, he has undermined the Olu of Warri. In the long history of the Itsekiri we have 21 Olu of Warri as against 3 Ologbotsere, implying the former can do without the latter. I have watched Chief Ayiri Emami and observed his posture which he has not repented. I thank God that a new Ologbotsere has been enrobed. Long live the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.
