I met my dad in 1995 when I was 35....and 9 brothers and sisters I didn't know I had(all half siblings). We had a long hug too, and tears. We lived 4 hours apart all that time. He drove a logging truck, and had driven by my home many times. He said "There was a black lab that would lay out on the highway in the sun, and she wouldn't move for anything, just sat there wagging her tail, so I would honk at her". That was my dog, and I remember yelling at my dog to get off the road when I heard the truck horn.
Not true - He abandoned her for her whole life, then picked it up, so so late in life - only when it suited him. It's sad she agreed to even meet this so called 'dad' - he's a user (again).

I love how both thought in a similar way to mark the occasion. The father celebrated her important birthdays with cards & gifts they missed. The daughter with a photo album with all her important birthdays. ☺

Five years after the birth mother asks them if they would adopt another child, a girl, biracial and obviously a different father. They took her without hesitation since they felt it important he knew his bio half sister at least.
