Thank you for your videos. Love them 😊After six years growing Dahlias here in Norway. Whats work best for me is to store them ,cleaned of dirt, in newspaper, in a paperbag. About 8 dg celsius. Devide them in spring. Work 100 pr.sent.for me.
Over the past four years Ive stored majority in clumps covered in their dirt. Mixed results; this year I grew half the amount and limited varieties to 9. I’m going to try to divide in the fall and store in bins this year. Usually I’m so burned out this time of year
I can 100 percent relate to that feeling of overwhelm this time of year! My motto is to do what you can and don’t stress over the rest.. it will all work out!
Great video. It's been too long. You are appreciated, and your videos looked forward to. Stay well and remain positive. I garden in northcentral Indiana.
TY so much for the camera close to tuber and your hands so we could really see. Question. I have sprouts on some, I noticed on yours also. What happens to the sprouts? Thanks and so so good to see you. Love to hear how Mums went this year
It’s alright if the sprouts get knocked off during the dividing and/or storing process.. they’ll resprout when planted! For this video, I did allow the sprouts to get nice and to hopefully make it easier to see the eyes on camera :)
Yes I do. I’m careful to monitor my tubers throughout the winter and if I see that too much condensation is forming in the containers, I’ll often remove the lids to keep the tubers from rotting. Good luck!

Do you put the lid on the sterlite containers?
Yes I do. I’m careful to monitor my tubers throughout the winter and if I see that too much condensation is forming in the containers, I’ll often remove the lids to keep the tubers from rotting. Good luck!
How long do you let the cuts cure.before you store them?
I typically wait only a few hours between dividing and storing
Good question. Thanks. Wonderd about that to.
My most successful methods of storage are paraffin and saran wrap.
So cool! Appreciate you sharing your process!
How do you employ the paraffin? TY
