At any rate to prevent this in most cases if not all the car needs to run on its first 500 to 1,000 miles of its life at low revs never to reach or exceed 4,000 rapm at 45 mph ,!!! regardless of the engine, then flush out the oil to get rid of the camshaft bits shavings and engine block burrs and vuala coused from the breaking in period.( turbo or supercharged cars suffer from this mainly do to human negligence) Now Takumi Head GTR engineer said that the best rate to always change your oil is at between 2k-3k miles regardless, Takumi opened many engines from testing with different set oil changes intervals and prooved that to never exceed 3k miles oil change interval regardless of oil quality Takumi says he prefers the 2k oil change interval the engine look almost brand new from the enside after testing with many many many miles 🎉 check him out
Heck yeah dude! This car is so easy to learn manual on! I learned how to drive manual on a 2014 civic si and it took me maybe a few drives in an empty parking lot to get it down.
I just worked on a car that the battery was reading 10v and eps wasn’t working. I think I prefer an electric motor over a huge mess of power steering fluid
i didnt like the idea of electronic power steering on my mustang but ive had it for 10 years now and never had a problem. unless youre saying this car specifically has been having issues with the eps but in general i dont think its a bad thing
How come you don't take such a new car to an authorized service (dealership) for servicing? Here in Europe, the car warranty is valid only in case of regular servicing at an authorized service center. As for gasoline in oil. You sniffed the dipstick ? Every generation 10 1.5t Civic in the world has a dipstick smell of petrol. But this does not mean that there is a lot of gasoline in the oil, because it evaporates. I myself have a civic 10 gen 1.5t 2020 and the oil has smelled of gasoline since new, but the oil level has never risen or fallen. So no worries. I myself use Motul 8100 Eco-Lite 0W20 oil. If amsoil was available, I would use the same as you, but unfortunately it is not.
I do it myself because I get to make a video and I already voided my warranty with all the bolt ons 😂 plus I know how to change my oil so I’m not worried about me messing it up. The car is sold now and I now have an FL5 Type R.
@@lui.racing The warranty for the first three years comes in handy due to possible factory defects, because if your engine or transmission dies, you are without a warranty on your own. And it can be very expensive. On the other hand, we don't like authorized repairmen either because they rip you off in broad daylight. I know that in America you call them stealership.
10 k on oil ?ur nuts ! 3 k on oil at the most ! Poor poor engine ! Run 5 w 30 in the summer 0w 20 in the winter ! How u tell if u have oil dilution problem is to monitor ur oil level ! If u want ur paint to last wax on wax off
Lol I do my oil change every 5k miles not 10k 😂. Synthetic oils can go as far as 7500 miles. Oil tech has come a long way. And I’m sure wax would help, but ppf would probable be the best option

Awesome video! Your car looks amazing. I bought a 2022 SI and ended up selling it with 700 miles. It was really a blast to drive but there were a couple of things I didn’t like: - Paint quality/chipping like you mentioned - Throttle delay - Rev hang - Radio wouldn’t keep the correct time regardless of the setting - Wastegate Actuator started making a funny noise when on load and letting off - Driver seat was not really comfortable - Too stiff for long drives - Lastly, the engine seems to be weak. A few people have been blowing them with just a simple tune which is pretty scary. It might seems like I’m just being picky, but when you look at the price tag, it just doesn’t make sense compared to the quality you’re getting. (Impossible to find them at MSRP)
@@BrandonKyle7 I know who he’s talking about and they were both on aggressive tunes making around 280wtq at 2500rpm which is a big no no. One of them was actually trying to blow it up to find the limit on it. Other guy was tracking it on a similar tune making power at the same rev range.
@Luis Ramirez yeah I saw about a month ago Ososick blew his up but they pushed over 30 psi, they were asking for it. I have the TSP stage 1 tune on mine and it's been fine.
@@BrandonKyle7 yeah and prior to that turbo he was on that aggressive tune so the damage was done before hand. The turbo just ended it since when it happened, the driver wasn’t even on the throttle. Driver was just cruising on the way too the track from the stationing area.

At any rate to prevent this in most cases if not all the car needs to run on its first 500 to 1,000 miles of its life at low revs never to reach or exceed 4,000 rapm at 45 mph ,!!! regardless of the engine, then flush out the oil to get rid of the camshaft bits shavings and engine block burrs and vuala coused from the breaking in period.( turbo or supercharged cars suffer from this mainly do to human negligence) Now Takumi Head GTR engineer said that the best rate to always change your oil is at between 2k-3k miles regardless, Takumi opened many engines from testing with different set oil changes intervals and prooved that to never exceed 3k miles oil change interval regardless of oil quality Takumi says he prefers the 2k oil change interval the engine look almost brand new from the enside after testing with many many many miles 🎉 check him out
Jesus man. Get some jack stands. Never go under your car when it’s up on a hydraulic jack.
Lol I have some now 😁
Awesome videos bro
Thanks bro! Appreciate the love! 🙌
Do you miss the Si?
Would you recommend this car for 1st time manual drivers
Heck yeah dude! This car is so easy to learn manual on! I learned how to drive manual on a 2014 civic si and it took me maybe a few drives in an empty parking lot to get it down.
Just got an oil change but my oil life still shows the old oil life need help
You have to manually reset it. I’m sure there’s a RUclips video or something online that shows you how to reset oil life
@@lui.racing there is but when I follow the instructions I don’t have seating that lets me reset it
@@lui.racing nvm I got it it’s under vehicle settings then u scroll right to maintenance info
@@kengher5757 awesome! Glad you got it figured out!
the paint on my 11th gen si has multiple rock chips already 🤣crappy paint, also the windshield has so many rock chips
Yeah dude! It’s wild how thin this paint it 😂
@@lui.racing i should’ve installed ppf on it smh
Gotta love Honda paint. Looks good til you pull out of the dealer lot.
@@jeffpatryn7360 🤣🤣🤣for real

Why did he jump up at the beginning? So odd.
Idk man, the guy is weird.
have you had to upgrade the clutch at all?
Unfortunately no.
OEM tire are super Sketchy especially in rain
Honda claims to have solved the oil dilution issue.
Good! Seems to be the case or at least for me
no oil dilution with my 2023
Can’t forget the steering rack issue 11th Gen owners are going through. I got a lemon lawsuit I’m currently fighting with my lawyer against Honda
Oh dang! I must live under a rock. What’s the steering rack issues going on?
Just wait til your electronic steering starts giving you trouble.
Will probably make for a good video lol
I just worked on a car that the battery was reading 10v and eps wasn’t working. I think I prefer an electric motor over a huge mess of power steering fluid
i didnt like the idea of electronic power steering on my mustang but ive had it for 10 years now and never had a problem. unless youre saying this car specifically has been having issues with the eps but in general i dont think its a bad thing
Pause I’m cunfused, why this car running e85
I installed a flex fuel sensor that allows me to run difference mixtures of e85 if I wanted to
How come you don't take such a new car to an authorized service (dealership) for servicing?
@@kiboendo3146 sounds like a good reason to get a built motor 👀 haha but yes you’re right
10 k on oil ?ur nuts !
And I’m sure wax would help, but ppf would probable be the best option
no way id ever get under a car on a jack. id get some jack stands. when i was younger a dude down the street from my cousins house got killed because the car fell on him
Lol thanks for your concern my friend
Yeah
Awesome video! Your car looks amazing.
I bought a 2022 SI and ended up selling it with 700 miles. It was really a blast to drive but there were a couple of things I didn’t like:
- Paint quality/chipping like you mentioned
- Throttle delay
- Rev hang
- Radio wouldn’t keep the correct time regardless of the setting
- Wastegate Actuator started making a funny noise when on load and letting off
- Driver seat was not really comfortable
- Too stiff for long drives
- Lastly, the engine seems to be weak. A few people have been blowing them with just a simple tune which is pretty scary.
It might seems like I’m just being picky, but when you look at the price tag, it just doesn’t make sense compared to the quality you’re getting. (Impossible to find them at MSRP)
Who blew their 2022 Si up with a stock tune?
Ososik. Check lut this video ruclips.net/video/IwkfZYNzP0A/видео.html
Good 👍 ASS job Brudda ✌.
Appreciate you bro! 🙌
No jack stands huh? People, don’t follow what this guy does.
Agreed!
I know another Honda you might be interested in haha
