      Glad you like it. There are a lot nicer sceneries around Serbia. 🤗

    Very nice VW Passat B5 with 1.9 TDi engine with 101 hp. My grandfather had one in a sedan with the same engine, but the main bearings turned and he had to replace the engine with a new one. He later sold his Passat because it was rusting and bought a well kept Opel Agilla B with a 1.2 Twinport engine with 86hp from his brother in law.

      Yeah. Rust is sort of a problem for this era of Passats.

      Serbia is indeed beautiful!
      I had situations when I traveled to Germany and I would comfortably cruise 170km/h. The only downside to my model is that its 5-speed. I guess it would run a lot smoother if it was a 6-speed gearbox, but it is what it is.

    Nice video man, was thinking of getting one of these one day. Comfortable, reliable and smooth.
    I have a Ford Fiesta 1.4 tdci at the moment. Do you still have this car??

      As Miloš said,there are more relaible cars from same years than Passat that are smooth and still cheaper to maitain. Ironically its for example the BMW E39 (specially petrol ones) if you would want car of a similar size. B5.5 is reaching the end of its lifespan and my father owns it,the 1.9TDi 96kw and i know its not really relaible because of its age. Its literally falling apart on him and he had to put almost 800E into it (not including fixing tons of rust and bad cosmetics) for last year and a half. Failed turbo,snapped engine mount,it has a bad transmission,cracking,blowing coolant and AC hoses,leaking every single fluid it can (even bliker fluid :D ) If you want a passat b5.5,get ONLY a well kept one or with a petrol engine such as 1.8T or a V6 that are more reliable than 1.9 TDIs. I am thinking about a B5.5 too but i will choose only higher specs that are well kept. If you want a newer passat avoid B6 up untill 2008 because of horrible 2.0TDi-PD that are an absolute nightmare to have,but not in mk2 Octavia/Mk5Golf because they have different system that does not fail unlike in Passats. If you dont mind something more expensive i would suggest an Audi A6 C5 or C6,service is more expensive on diesel engines but they are more relaible and durable than Vws from same years. I personally am thinking between Passat b5.5,BMW e39 or an Audi A6 C5/C6. If you dont mind worse quality of interior i would go for mk2 Škoda Octavia 2.0TDi which is actually a really good car similar to passat b5.5 even in size.

      My comment got lost when I was transfering my channel, but in a nutshell - don’t buy the Passat. There are plenty of options out there. Go for more reliable car. The Passat B5.5 has it’s benefits but it’s not financially savy decision.

    What is your fuel consumption per 100km?

    • @automobilistamedia
      @automobilistamedia  2 года назад +3

      6.25l/100km on the freeway, 7.5-9l/100km urban. It’s okay for that era and such a big car.
